Ok, 2 questions..
Question #1:
I was wondering if anyone could suggest colors for knit/crochet food.
I prefer to work in 100% wool but cotton is ok..
What colors/brand for
Pie Crusts
Cookies
Cakes
Fruit
Veggies
etc
I tried going to my local craft and fabric stores.. their selection of natural yarns in colors that would work was.. dismal.. not a single thing..So I’ll need to order online.. but color judging can be hard.
I'm not going to be felting the finished food..at least I don't think so. Most are just knit and crochet items.
Question #2:
I received two wonderful needle felted wool meatballs for the kids. They LOVE them, the perfect size to not be chokable yet totally portable for my 1 yo. I want to make more..
Is there a tutorial on how to make needle felted meatballs? I assume I need meatball colored roving (that the right word?)
I DO have the special needles..but no know how..
Thanks

: since the needle hurts like blue blazes, and blood on the felt is rarely a good look. Some people use a piece of foam or something underneath, but I don't. Play around with it - you can vary the look and quality of felting by the depth and intensity of the "poke" of the needle. It can be very meditative, too, just the poke poke poke of the needle.... Have fun, and mind your fingers!
