Comment my OB made

I work as an RN for my OB's office and a new mother of triplets came in for her two week exam and she brought the babies with her (cute as buttons by the way!) and we were all holding them when two of them began fussing during her exam. My doc stepped out of the exam room and handed two of them to her and said, "Sounds like it is lunch time mama." He resumed the exam once she finishing nursing all three of them (which took over an hour!.) She confessed she was having a hard time keeping up nursing them and he suggested a few places she could go for help nursing multiples. It was such an awesome moment to see a mom nursing THREE babies, I gave her a huge hug on the way out and told her to keep up the good work. She said "Oh, I have no choice, they all LOVE mommy's milk" ! I hope she keeps it up.

Wow, that is so nice to hear!! Both about the mommy's dedication and the OB's supportive attitude!

That's wonderful! Those babies have a great mom, and it sounds like you work with a great OB!

I don't know how you can work there..... It seems like it would be too hard to get anything done when you constantly want to give your boss the biggest hugs ever!

Can OBs take apprentices? Can we get more of him?

That is really awesome! Your boss sounds amazing and huge kudos to the mama too!

Yeah he and his wife are just so fab! I love them both to death. Yeah, we do give LOTS of hugs. It is hard to get anything done because mostly it is the mommas who come in with those adorable babies! You MUST stop and kiss and hug each of them, otherwise you get fired..hehe, just kiddin!

venustx Wow, congrats to you mama! Good luck and for sure keep us posted on this!

Tine Funny you should ask that. I guess the hospital got wind of the story printed (which was really dry and not very interesting if you ask me) but they held a meeting before each nursing shift started and said if anyone has any "medical conditions" please let the nurse managers know about it and they would be "happy" to sit down and chat with RNs. *Gag* I LOVE LOVE LOVE my new job. My family just held a huge BBQ at our farm for all my co-workers and both the OBs I work for. My boss pulled me aside and said he was so glad to have me on board and it was blessing in disguise those a$$holes made such a fuss over me pumping. I wish everyone could have such great bosses and OBs in general.
