OMG 39 w 1 day and my child has flipped to breech HELP!!!!! - Page 2

Another tactic (that's free) is to talk to your baby and tell it to turn. I've been telling my baby to go head down and anterior. I also mention this is what it needs to do to come out easier and to have a more gentle birth. It went head down by 30 weeks. It is lying to the right but it tries to turn anterior at some point almost every day.

Hypnobabies also has a turn baby turn hypnosis CD...

The trick is to try to talk *nicely* to the little bugger causing you so much anxiety!!

good luck...my baby is also breech and also just decided to turn breech. we are also going to have a stern talking with his little butt when he comes out...which we're hoping is not too soon since he seems to be a stubborn little bugger when it comes to getting his head down.

:

How far along are you?

I'm having a hard time determining if he is turning or not.Not sure if it will be slowly or a quick swoop when he finally turns. I thought he would tuc his chin and turn forward but I feel like I feel him going backward so that it's making him transverse. But I really don't know...that could just be a butt or something.

I just had a successful vaginal breech birth. I don't know if that is an option for you, but there are dr's out there who are still willing to deliver a breech baby vaginally.

Oh I am most definitely talking to him...I am saving the stern talk for when he gets out.

I rub my belly and tell him his head needs to be down so he can come out and meet us safely.

If anyone has the turn baby turn on a mp3 file that they can send me I would me very appreciative.

I have been using some Hypnbirthing CD's but I cannot seem to stay awake through them.

OMG I am so glad you showed up right now. I was just wondering if to ask in this thread, start a new thread or just stay quiet.

It has been presented to me as an option but I will be in a birthing center. I told my boyfriend and he started crying saying NO NO that's not safe for you or him it's better to just do the C section. Would you mind sharing your story with me. I need all the help and hope I can.

I have been researching quite a bit but he thinks a breech birth sounds barbaric and that c section is the only way to go.

Junipervt, just read your story. You ARE a rock star!!! Amazing!

Not sure if a breech birth in the hospital will be an option for me though...hospital seems to mean csec for me right now

I just ran across the homeopathic remedies for turning baby:

Nat Mur - if there is "too much" or "too little" amniotic fluid

Pulsatilla - if the level of amniotic fluid seems "normal"

I'll check dosages soon - right now, I'm kind of stuck where I am - I'm pretty sure the book said 200C

we were going to have a homebirth, but had to go to the hospital when we realized, but it was too late to do a c section. We only went b/c in VT it is illegal to have a breech homebirth. My midwife was kind of hopeing that I would have the baby in the car on the way. She had been listening to Kezia's heart the whole time, and we were both doing great. Is your birthing center willing to try for a vaginal delivery? And to let you know I was fine too just a tiny tear that with a few stiches healed in less than a week.

Oh mama I am so sorry. Hopefully the techniques that have been mentioned are working for you. The only ones I know if are those that have likely been mentioned: chiropractor visits, info on spinning babies, certain yoga-ish poses, talking to the baby and a manual version.

Hugs. Please keep us posted.

Mommies...thank you so much for your info and support...

Here is my update:

MY MUNCHKIN TURNED!!!!!

I got sent to the back up for c sec evaluation because they thought they felt a foot. I was in tears! When I got there he did an ultrasound and determined my little man had flipped head down!!!!! But...oh yes there is always a but...I should still go on with the Csec IMMEDIATELY as my child is just WAY TOO BIG for me to handle birthing...he will never fit into my pelvis and he is floating. Well of course he is floating I spent the past 4 days trying to get him to float out of my pelvis to flip. I told him I will do some exercises to bring him down into position...he said oh I don't think that will work. : Needless to say I got the heck out of dodge. I had another u/s in the hospital last night to make sure there was no discrepancy with position and to get their estimate on weight (even thought it's not worth much) and they tried to hold me captive and force me into l&d...lol...they didn't realize they had the wrong one. I have been having lot of contrax all day yesterday but that's not really new. They woke me up this morning though. So I am sitting on my ball now trying to get this little one ready to go.

Thank you thank you again.

congratulations!!!

and good for you for not letting them bully you into a c-section...of course how could they know that it was what you were trying to avoid all along!!

they probably thought they would be doing you a favor!

once again, congratulations!!!
