Speaking of boobs...nursing mamas??

Are any of you nursing mamas noticing an increase in tenderness/pain when your child latches on?? I've just recently started having pain at latch when DD nurses and wondered if that's just a normal thing for nearing delivery or something.

I've noticed increased pain again, only sometimes, more in my left breast which is my bigger milk producer. It radiates around to my back even sometimes and is concentrated in the nipple - freaking youch! I just put her on the other boob at those times, or if both hurt I just tell her so but usually it's one or the other.

Nursing has really started to hurt me too. ( I am almost 39 weeks) and almost all nursing sessions result in contractions.

I don't know if it means anything or not

I haven't noticed any pain or tenderness but I have noticed that I don't want him to nurse for quite as long anymore. It's kinda getting irritating or something....

Hmmm.... latch was hurting today. I was just going to blame her... but maybe it wasn't her fault after all.

No sign of contractions with nursing though.

Latching is hurting me too....in fact, I've been having dd open her mouth really wide to help with this and make sure she is latched correctly, so now every time that she wants to nurse she comes up to me with her mouth wide open going "ahhhh!"

I'm also having trouble staying in one position for too long, especially in bed, so that makes it harder to nurse in the morning, which is usually the way I get her to stay in bed for longer

Am I the only one getting contractions when nursing?? I don't nurse very often maybe 4 times a day and thankfully not for sleep anymore.
My DD told me there is lots of milk and it's tastes yummy!!

I'm having contractions while nursing too, just not consistently. Dd really only nurses about 3 times a day and I notice them most at night when she nurses before bed, but I am having contractions in the evenings pretty often even when she's not nursing. Nursing just makes them stronger.

: why I don't know what you mean... :

yea, definitely more nipple soreness.

Not much contraction action though, he's got a terrible latch and suckle by now.

Yes, I get contractions while nursing but I get them ALL the time so I don't know if it has anything to do with the nursing!!
