Home Visit was this afternoon

My midwife has been here before (my daughter was born here) but the student needed to get aquainted and they wanted to make sure all the supplies were ready to go and stuff. I need to get chlorophyll, and garlic and bring in the paper towels and baby wipes that are on my supply list, but everything else is ready to go. Urine, BP, Heartrate were all great as usual, baby is not in the best position though I am supposed to sit up or sit leaning forward, no reclining (early in the pregnancy I said I was going to do this, but as I got toward the end here it hurts my back so I haven't been sitting properly!) I *think* they said he is LOT, I was looking on spinning babies to see if I could figure it out since I couldn't remember. LOL

Basically as of Saturday we're good to go on a homebirth, but I am feeling soo different than around this time with my last two pregnancies so I'll probably make it to my 37 week appointment on the 10th. But who knows. Really. At this point in my mothering I am not predicting anything when it comes to kids :P They surprise you all the time.

Something fun we did with the kids - the 5 of us (Aaralyn doesn't "get it" yet) picked a "day" for the baby to come. I guess if we make it past everyones days we'll each choose another one I put the guesses on the M&D calendar in the kitchen - the 7th, the 8th (two of us), the 12th, and the 13th.

How fun!

I had my home visit yesterday afternoon and it really made things real for me. I'll be 37 weeks on Monday.

My baby seems to be in a different position than my other two were -- kind of diagonal. He's not posterior, though. I'm really hoping he engages before labor, as I don't want an asynclytic (sp?) presentation -- yikes!

I love your date idea.

It makes it really real having them come to your house huh? I totally can relate. It felt good though to have them say "yes, you are ready" I mean, I know I was, but I guess there was this mothery, worry-wart mental block there, like I needed someones approval. After they left I thought to myself, the next time they are here, it will be for my baby's arrival. Although I have been feeling tired and sore and done and ready and all of that....I guess part of me is still mentally a couple weeks behind. I can't believe that as of next week we will be "full term". I'm like only half with reality, and I don't know if thats good or bad lol. At least I am "prepared" I still would like to cook a meal or two for a tiny freezer, and have some snacks/juice on hand for me and for support people. And I have yet to have the big nesting energy. I've had little spurts and cleaned the crucial areas...but would love to do some more deep cleaning. It would be nice to be totally done and then just kinda keep up and relax these last couple weeks. I've just been so unmotivated and sleepy.

Oh, out of curiosity what's the chlorophyll for (?spelling?) ? Not something that was on my supply list so Im just curious
