Mommas who have reached their due date

What are you doing to make the time go by? I am getting really antsy and I don't know what to do with myself anymore. All the baby clothes are cleaned, most of the diapers are prepped, the house is clean ( other than the day to day gunk buildup from a toddler and dirty husband ). I'm so tired. I've had a few contractions on Sunday and Wednesday night, but that is it. No mucus plug, no bloody show, nothing.
The other day I resorted to filing my nails, that's how bored I am with this pregnancy.
Anyone else got any ideas?

omg meeeeee!!!!!!!! i was arguing on the internet, then i started reading a book, and now i'm watching the business of being born. i'm readying the house, hanging at the park with my kid, and yesterday we went for a 3 hour nature walk.

still a loooong wait...

About the same here. Today is my due date. I made it to the zoo with the boys, big community yard sale is tomorrow, baby clothes ready, diapers in house, bags packed, van ready, plans arranged...

Today I stripped the beds and decided to get all the laundry caught up. Going to try and get the den vaccuumed and the dining room cleaned again.

Everyone thinks it will be Monday. My cousin thinks so cause I would have gotten the few things I wanted done before she came (zoo, yard sale) and a friend thinks so cause it's a new moon. Sounds good to me! 5-5-08...sounds like a good birthday.

To keep busy I'm keeping up with 3 little boys and end of school stuff. I also designed the babies birth sampler so I've been cross stitching that out. I also work out of the home, so that's been keeping me busy. And of course all the phone calls from people checking on me..lol

Hope everyone else is doing ok!!

Isn't that just the most annoying thing???? I try to be civil to everyone that calls, b/c they all mean well, but geeze, talk about adding more fuel to the fire. Let's call the anal retentive pregnant woman who is sure she won't go into labor on her own and see if we can't drive her nuts with our questions.

omg I love it!

I am getting sick of everyone calling too... everyone is asking me, and then all the people who know my daughter's dad are asking HIM and he is reporting to me about all THOSE questions too... gah! He's not even this one's father. Bloody hell!

My due date was yesterday but I told everyone that I will go past it, since I did with DD. I'm still working but from home. Reading a book that's totally unrelated to birthing or babies...

I told EVERYONE I would go past my due date too... but apparently nobody believed me.

I'm literally twiddling my thumbs!!! During the week I at least have the kids & all the activities to keep me busy, but weekend they go with their dad & DP works during the weekend so yea, a whole lotta nothing. Luckily there's flag football saturday

The house couldn't be any cleaner, everything is ready to go - maybe I'll try and freeze up some dinners this weekend. s to all of us, it won't be long before we get to have our babes in our arms!

My best friend (doula) and mom are getting harrassed too..lol.

I sent an email out to everyone to give an update and ever so nicely suggest them to stop calling me..lol.

I was IMing with my MIL this am and she asked me TWICE how are you feeling? I am able about half the time to dodge it by asking her a question..but geeze...same as I was an hour ago.

wait...wait...wait...

ok...it did dawn on me I'm going to have to give birth again! Dont get me wrong, I've done it 3 times natural and have no desire to do it any other way...but yikes ...lol Does anyone understand?? I am looking forward to it. So empowering and energizing. So scary and kinda not comfortable..lol

I just hope I'm not blocking her coming with the thoughts - this is probably my last pregnancy, last time I get to feel the hiccupps and wiggles, last time I get to go into labor and deliver a baby naturally, last time I get to nurse a newborn....ok great, now I'm crying..lol

I.AM.READY.
really I am...

I am with you on the mixed feelings about birth. My last one was soooo long and sooo hard i think... can I do that again? I want natural birth very much but it's really challenging for me.

Oh yes, those conflicting feelings of yes baby come, we're ready. And then crying in the grocery store because I was upset & cranky & not enjoying being pregnant in that moment and thinking this may be my last pregnancy!

I also keep re-thinking dd's birth (#3) because it truly was the most beautiful experience, and then I worry this one will be "disappointing" to feeling like this one will be different but amazing.

I just wanna hold my baby, smell that wonderful baby smell!

My dd is tomorrow, I have been cutting the grass, weeding, transplanting, cleaning out recycling, micro organizing my winter clothes, going through unwanted dd toys, packing up unwanted books ect. for thrift store and yard sale. (we have a small house and I hate clutter),wondering around pet store with dd, fighting with dh (he is just getting on my nerves). I had another acupuncture treatment this morning and bloody show yesterday.. I hope labor gets moving. I keep telling baby we are so ready for him.

Picking my nose, mostly. Today I'm going to walk to the bank to get my name changed on the account. Oh, my life is SOOOOOOO exciting.

Tomorrow is the Anchorage Baby Fair. Just an excuse to wander around and maybe buy stuff, but it's something to keep my mind occupied.

I am 3 days late and was out running errands but cut it short because I can't bear anymore people questioning me about it!! I was sitting here wondering what to do because yesterday I did all the major chores (laundry, scrubbed floors, watered all plants, cleaning bathroom/kitchen...). I guess I could always do another load of laundry and I want to bake cookies! When all else fails I resort to baking. I am bored to death with watching movies/tv. I just want my baby!

I just ate half a pineapple, this better work!!!

1. I don't answer the phone to anyone except DH and my mother!

2. DD and I are going about our normal, everyday activities -- playgroups, shopping, etc.

3. I started knitting DH a hat. Maybe I'll get it finished by Christmas (of what year, I'm not sure!)

Are you all having signs of labour? What is hard for me is that I've had very little in the way of signs. Lost some mucous plug over the last two days but definitely not the whole shebang, and I lost it 7 days before going into labour last time! Other than that... nada in terms of signs.
I think I'm in early labor (leaking bag, lost plug, cramping) so I've been trying to keep busy with artsy things. We took some pics of my 3yo painting my belly with finger paints, I've been knitting, that sort of thing. Everything's ready, just a matter of time I guess!

Yea, I am. Had some bloody show/mucus last weekend. Mucus-y plug today, and BH just about every day around 6pm. I also have been about 4 cms (more or less) for about 2 weeks too. I'm probably not gonna believe it's labor until the baby's head is out
