Can somebody PLEASE make the compulsive cleaning stop?

I like a clean house as much as the next person, and my house could certainly use the work, but oh my goodness I can't stop cleaning and organizing. My midwife and the backup will be here in an hour for the home visit, and my house is nowhere near clean enough for company - especially not my upstairs bathroom! Why couldn't I have had this problem all along, why does it only hit once I'm full term? I'm only 37w2d so I won't be going into labor anytime soon (with both of my other two I went right around my due date naturally).

I just feel like it's making my hands swell, and I wish I would just nap and stuff instead!

I do not have this problem. I kind of wish I did, my house was no where near perfect when the midwife came. It was lived in. Clean but not spotless, mostly picked up, a little cluttered. Totally lived in. And thats just how it is around here haha.

Every weekend I have spent cleaning like crazy. I hurt like hell the next day. But at least it is clean!!!

i felt the need to 'clean up' a bit for my midwife home visit, but only focused on the areas she'd be in - living room and bathroom ... the rest of the hosue is comfortably cluttered. . . lol

i try to get one small project done daily - today was clean the toilet upstairs - including the base (I'm going to try to spot clean it daily from now on). . . (I'm only upstairs 2x day - when i wake up and when we go to bed) so i don't spend much time up there, HOWEVER i expect to spend some quality time up in that bathroom in transition puking my guts out, so i thought it in my best interest to have the cleanest toilet area i could have - at least i puked horribly in transition last time. . . and the whole time, i kept saying to myself, i wish i had cleaned around this toilet better - there was dust around the back of it! LOL (it was a second trimester miscarriage, so i wasn't exactly expecting to have such an intense labor/delivery). . .

that and the midwife arrived right after that and she sat on my bathroom floor next to me while i puked and bled and passed placenta parts. . .

so i figure that bathroom although not my favorite place normally, will be a place i'll spend a lot of time in labor in this time around, along with my midwife. . .which reminds me i need to bring a few chairs up and put them in the 'spare' bedroom so that she'll have a place to sit in the bathroom 'sides the floor. . .

(we have a 1/2 bath on main level that our family uses mostly . ..)

I need to kick it in gear and get my house clean, I'm just so tired!! DH has been keeping up with the day to day stuff for the most part but the dust bunnies are multiplying.....

I spent a lot of time last weekend organizing, now we can actually see the floors to clean them!

I'm hoping to get some major stuff done this weekend and keep up with it thorughout the week. DS#2 has therapy in the middle of the week so we tend to clean up then too.
