More kids fainting after shots, CDC reports

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - An unprecedented number of U.S. youngsters are fainting after getting shots, especially teenage girls, and doctors need to keep an eye on them, federal health experts cautioned on Thursday.

At least 463 people fainted after getting vaccinated during an 18-month period from 2005 to 2007, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported.

My mom got my little sister gardisil after I told her not to do it, told her to wait, that I understood hearing "cancer" would freak her out, but this vaccine wasn't a good idea, how I wouldn't do it for my own daughter (and I HAVE hpv), but she went ahead and did it anyway.

She said that the shot was so painful for my sister that she got faint, didn't faint, but got really pale and it freaked my mom out, needless to say she's not doing it again. Her arm bruised so badly from it too. Scary.

the hep B series was the new thing when I was a teenager. my mom took me to get the series and I fainted each time. I got really bad immune system reactions to things for a few years after that too. Really scary.
