Bakers yeast allergy

My DD tested positive for an allergy to bakers yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae), and basically all the doc did was hand me the results and didn't say much else. For various reasons I will now be going back to him ever.

I was wondering if anyone has any info that might be helpful until I can get into see her GI doc.

Might this be an indication of Celiac disease? She did not test positive to wheat, rye, oats or barely (as foods) There was no testing for allergies to gluten though.

Thanks for any help

yeast and gluten/wheat are not really related. My dd reacted to yeast, though when we were AT the doctor, he said it was brewers yeast, and when I got the written follow up letter (that I requested for documentation), it said bakers yeast. She has shown no reaction to bakers yeast, so I'm figuring it was brewers yeast. Since she's 3yo she doesn't drink beer, and she doesn't take vitamins, so I'm safe so far. Not sure what advice I have for you except to start making Irish soda bread and biscuits if you want breads, to avoid the yeast.
