Let the prodromal labor begin!!!!

Contractions started at 8pm last night, strong enough to make me demand my husband STOP DRIVING so I could concentrate. Got home, blew up my birth ball, had a glass of wine and started noticing they were coming closer. First 20 minutes, then 15, then 10. Went to bed at 10:30 and was awakened several times so I could poop my brains out, pee, or contract. By 4 they were every 10 minutes and waking me out of a sound sleep.

And then they up and left me.

Gosh I love prodromal labor.

Those tricky contractions!!

UGH!

Hoping the real thing comes soon for you - it's time right?

Gah! Let the fun begin, right? Here's to hoping you get to have those precious little ones in your arms soon!!!!!!!

Oh! I hope this prodromal stuff turns into the real thing soon. Just think that your body is getting babies into the perfect position for birth. I hope you get to rest today!

Hugs,
Amy

Ugh, prodromal labor sucks. Just when you start thinking "this may be it" they say... yeah, just teasing you.... and that is it.

Yep, it's time! I was term yesterday.

However, I'd be happy if they make it to 38 weeks. They were just getting ready to leave the 5 pound range on Monday and I've never had one SO small! If I got to 38.5-39 weeks they'll be more like high sevens to low eights.

so do you want to have them now then???

I would *almost* rather take that over the absolutely NOTHING I've been feeling over this entire pregnancy. I think getting close to 40 weeks with your first baby is a little like getting lost in a haunted house at night...creeping along, watching for anything, and freaking out every time you sense the slightest movement. That's how I am, anyway...

Ugh. That intense for that long-- and then nothing! Sounds very, very frustrating.

Depends on how you mean "want". Do I want them to be off my organs and out of my abdomen. Oh HELL yes! But I want them to be fully done cooking so I'm in this for the long haul. I'm ready when they are.

Oh yeah, I know EXACTLY what you mean! But don't wish pre-labor on yourself. It's a PITA!

yeah, it sucks BIG TIME!! I felt nothing like this my last pregnancy and now I have been dealing with this since 35 weeks. It has reached such an intensity the last few times that I think it's really starting as I can't imagine it going on like this and not being really productive (ie- a baby in my arms within a few hours!!). Also, I am 40 weeks and 4 days so I feel pretty ready.

Holy cannoli! I think I'd go nuts if I went through that.

Don't worry Sara, it usually waits for your second pregnancy!

I'm feeling really achy tonight but no regular contractions. My freaking back is killing me! I think I got Claire to flip! Ben's been acting pretty strange this evening so perhaps he's about to turn around, too?

Thankfully for me it waited until #3!

Sorry you're achy but it's great that Clire might have flipped!! Go Ben!
