If you have a facebook acct even better since I need you to be my 'friend' and comment on my posted item about circumcision. I been blasted from my friends on Panama and that are living in other parts of US about this issue that C should be done for health purposes and it is a personal (not religious) decision. Please Please I need help, I need someone who can back me up in my posted link about 'Not to C"

Thanks so much!!!!!!

I can do some translating for you - don't know anything about circ. yet so not much help on that front. Be careful using online translators - they don't always work properly.

oh no! It's someone who knows and is opposed to C that knows to read Spanish at least. I would love to have other views about this issue other than the ones I post...

Hi

Trying to learn up a little on the pros and cons as husband is completely opposed and I had never thought of it before - just assumed it was something that had to be done. Maybe I can help you out when I get a little more "learned".

Opposed to circumcising or opposed to not circumcising? I want to welcome you too and let you know that if you have ANY questions or want some elaboration on ANYTHING please post and ask, there are no stupid questions. You are doing your son a great service by educating yourself on this issue and leaving him intact. Again welcome.

it's so amazing when the husbands do not agree, then when they finally 'see' things differently, we, the wives, learn even more at a higher passed because you do want to learn more and more everyday... I was able to finally convince my husband to do it, he is a former marine who believed in C and in top of it all, he is a Latino, we latinos are been raised with the mentality of performing C without any questions. Since I kept having girls (lol) I never really had to time to think about it, until now... I have to tell you that I am so happy (in a way) that I live in the US and that we have all this info available, if I would've been living in my country we would've done it to our poor child because e-v-e-r-y-o-n-e does it there!

That is a change, the offer of course is the same. Take some time and read if you have questions post. But start a new thread.

Where are you from?

I will see if I can get my DP to help you out tomorrow. He has a facebook account, and he is from Puerto Rico, so Spanish is his first language.

foreskin friendly I can get the Spanish pamphlets too, the problem is that they won't read them, I have sent so many links and so funny they won't read anything. Including a link one of them sent me, pro-circ, in the end of the article said how the procedure was sort of 'unnecessary', lol I bet she didn't even read that lol Well, I live here in the US but originally from Panama. These friends are residing in Panama right now, some here but still have that Panamanian mentality. Another girl from here joined and helped me sooo much with a response. I loved it. They haven't posted anymore since then because they cannot argue no more, there is no more left for them to do so since now they can't discuss valid reasons to be pro-circ. I think it had come to their senses now, or at least, the doubt is there in their minds. We wrote some good analogies there that I think made a big impact. I needed help because I felt all alone, no one was there to defend MY post, the one I posted on MY own profile, then they came to MY profile telling me reasons for C but I 'think' they get it now... I am hoping so... lol

The reason I posted all those links, is because there are many friends of mine, old time friends from childhood that are in my facebook, to become parents or planning to... I really want to get the word out, my country needs a wake up call but not only in C but others like Gentle parenting, Breastfeeding, Vax, and other serious issues... that's why I been asking in here for a Spanish section, so I can send them over

thank you so much!!!

I believe NOCIRC has pamphlets fully available in Spanish. A link will do the trick.
