where did the AC mamas go? (May 2008 thread!) - Page 2

I'd love to get back with my regular writing job, but I'll have to see.

I have achieved clout level 4! Woo Hoo! I think 5 is going to take much more work. I've started using Onlywire, so we'll see how that goes. I also signed up for a facebook account just to network. I'm sure all my old HS friends that find me would love to read about diapers and wraps.

It seems like the turnaround on offers for articles is getting longer. Last month I was only waiting a day. Now I have 2 that have sat there for a week.

I really liked reading yours! Very informative. I've been thinking of taking the plunge, but DH will need more talking into.

BTW: Everyone please feel free to PM me your page so I can add you!

I claimed my first CFC that had a less than 24 hour deadline. The upfront pay was only $1.50, but I'm hoping that the traffic will view my other articles. And it was a really easy one to write.

I'm here and reading what others write. I'm not feeling the AC love right now though.

I have participated on the ac forums but that's it. I ended up picking up a few, better-paying gigs so am focusing my energy on those right now. Sorry to go poof, I had planned to submit a few this month too.

I'm just getting started, I've had 5 published so far, and one rejected. I'm hoping to work on that one, the reasons listed were that I didn't do the links correctly (easy fix) and the topic was too broad. I don't really get that one though, it was about rainy day fun ideas, and about 3 days after mine got rejected, there was a feature article on the same subject. So I figure I'll fix the links, and maybe rewrite a little, then resubmit it. Anyway, its been fun, but I'm finding it hard to get ideas about what to write.

Hi everyone! I'm totally new, I just signed up and submitted my first piece - it was a call to content piece. Quick question - if there is no price listed in those, does that mean they don't pay at all? It said something like "performance only" and I can't quite figure out what that means. But I'm excited! I think this will be fun. I'm still figuring stuff out, for now though.

Performance only means that they will not pay you an upfront amount. It only pays $1.50 per every 1000 views.
