Owners of organic mattresses

I am wondering how people are liking their mattress and what brand did they get. Also, I have looked at latex mattresses and the people who make the core mattresses say that you don't want a layered mattress, and vice versa. I was wondering if anybody had any feedback on that issue. thanks

We just got a Savvy Rest (2 layers of Dunlop and one of Talalay) from a mdc mama, kaia8 is her username I think and it is really, really nice. It feels really luxurious and I'm very happy with it!

Latex is not organic, it is either natural or man-made.

We bought one recently from http://www.habitatfutons.com/ and I love it. We got the 8 inch version and I find it springy and comfy to sleep on. It is wrapped in organic wool and cotton, so no chemical flame retardants needed. I also totally love the latex pillows that came with it!

does the futon have a foam core? Futons get hard and compacted FAST. Foam cores are not natural or organic. Latex is a great natural option, and while latex isnt certified organic, the natural latex may as well be. It doesnt have any pesticide or herbicide residues. The metal in the springs in cotton and wool organic mattresses isnt natural either- and doesnt biodegrade like latex does. Cotton fiber is also a haven for dust mites- and there is no way to get them out of your mattress. I have lots of experience with natural mattresses and the various companies- happy to answer more questions off board.
