Bloody show...

I'm having some.

How likely is it that this means labour is imminent? I'm cleaning my house in a panic, and I have to take back my birthing ball which popped right after I blew it up and get a new one. omg!!!

I hope something happens, man. My midwife is off til tomorrow though, so I hope I need her when she comes back on and not before. I like the other midwife but I *love* my midwife.

It could certainly mean labor is imminent ... or you could go longer.

Try to get some rest and don't wear yourself out cleaning. I know, easier said than done as I'm sure I'll do the exact same thing so my doula doesn't see the toys, papers, markers, dirty dishes, etc. all over! Maybe just focus on the room(s) you'll be using the most for the birth, and hide the clutter in the others?

Ha! Well, cleaning is the bane of my existence man... I dont do it, and when I do I don't do it well. I've been super nesty this pregnancy, but then yesterday we had a crazy busy day and made a cake and I remember thinking if I go into labour my place is trashed. Sprinkles everywhere, flour all over the table, icing sugar on the floor. Oy! That is all cleaned now, cat litter is changed, floors swept but I need to fold laundry so I can find what I want to wear, and tidy my daughter's room. So not too much left to do. Thankfully I got a lot of sleep last night (for once!) so if I do go into labour today I'm in pretty good shape.

I've always read that with bloody show, you usually will have a baby within the next 72 hours.

I've always given birth within 24 hours of bloody show. But I know others who have gone longer.

As for the clean house...I figure that since my midwife has children she understands LOL My house looks lived in...which is why I'm so comfortable here

Wooohoo! I've always been in labor when I've actually had bloody show, so I think your time is coming near! Sending you progressive labor vibes. :

Well it's still happening and I'm feeling kind of icky/nauseous/low appetite but no contractions or anything like that so far. We shall see... I just went out and got groceries, should fold my clothes in my bedroom. Bought baby wipes! I realized I need baby wipes now! Kinda funny. Somehow all my cloth ones disappeared.

Yay! Sounds like it might be soon...

Bloody show always means a baby for me SOON! Clean away girl, I know it would make me crazy to labor in a mess. And you sure won't be doing much of that for the next month or two! Might as well get it out of your system. Course, you might not be anal type A like me......

Can't wait to hear!

step one: clean the house in a frenzy
step two: pass out from exhaustion
step three: after a nice nap wake up to more show and contrax
step four: have baby

right?! Sure sounds good to me...no just don't forget to post inbetween all the steps, so we can hang on every word :P

Can't wait to hear how it goes!

Bloody show really just means you are going to have a baby....someday. Unfortunately, it could be a few weeks or a few hours. Can't tell!

I think the only way to know that labor is imminent is to have consistent, progressive contractions and/or water breaking....

Exciting stuff!! Good luck!
