40wk 3 days (vent)

So I'm now 40+3 and I'm so tired of being pregnant. I want to meet this little one... I went 5 days late with my DD so I knew what to expect but it really doesn't make it easier. I'm so jealous of women who have babies before they even hit 40 weeks. My midwife is very supportive although she wants an ultrasound this week to check fluid levels. I just wish I had SOME sign, anything to tell me that my body is getting ready for labor. I've had absolutely no signs and I'm starting to get frustrated.

Tomorrow I'm going to call an acupuncturist and possibly a reflexologist. Sorry to vent, but I had to get it out of me....

You vent all you want! It's easy to say that babies come in their own time, but it doesn't make a very very pregnant woman any less uncomfortable and ready to meet her little one. I'm two weeks behind you and I'm already starting to feel the frustrations of being so pregnant.

I went 41 weeks with my first and I remember that last week very clearly. I had no signs with him either, it came on as a complete surprise and went quickly. I hope the same happens for you. :

Same due date as me.... I'm doing ok so far. Ask me again in a week or so..lol.

I'm holding out pretty well. Still sleeping ok. Having contractions a lot (today pretty regular), not much else going on.

I see the mw on Tuesday. Hoping I am dialated more than a cm....*sigh*...we shall see!

Hang in there....take a walk, a swim...see the chiro and just get ready!

yep, I am 40 weeks and 3 days and I was doing okay but today... I just feel like I am gonna go CRAZY if I have this baby inside me one more day!! I had hoped I would be early (this is my second and my first was 19 days late..) and here I am going late again. It makes me wanna cry. I'm ready, why isn't baby ready... boo hoo

I hear you too! I'm 41 weeks today. I have kind of liked the outrageousness of being hugely pregnant and overdue, especially when out and about... people kinda stare and I feel like I'm as pregnant as I will ever be, yk? As anyone possibly should be. That part is a bit fun. But the rest sucks!

I understand completely! I am due on the 10th, but when the doctor checked me on Thursday he said he doesn't think the baby will come until 41 weeks. I wanted to cry. DD was 4 days late and induced (my choice - I didn't know any better). This time the doctor wants to induce at 41 weeks. We'll see how I feel about it then. I will always have tiny babies and had a problem with my placenta not functioning properly last pregnancy, so my doctor is monitoring more closely this time around.

I don't want to wait any longer! I thought I was going to have this baby early this time. I have to work until this Wednesday and I can't stand it any more!
