Making tote bags out of old t-shirts

Someoone posted an excellent idea to reuse old t-shirts by making them into tote bags. Does anyone have a pattern for this? I don't sew but I was going to ask my mom to make some.

Thank you! I do like Martha.

All you do is sew the bottom of the shirt closed, cut the sleeves and neckline off, leaving enough shoulder for handles, and sew along those openings to reinforce them.

It's that easy. Though I have yet to use mine.

Use Tank Tops

I saw an even easier way to make totes -- with a Tank Top. Sew the bottom shut and that is it! Instant handles from the tank!

If you don't sew, you can even use that fusable webbing that you iron on.

Just an fyi, I've been using these for awhile and the jersey stretches and stretches. They get long and big.
