Library can you amend my maca start date I started taking it may 13th...Also that trip mil has planned sounds like its' going to be a blast!

Everyone else how is the maca going for you? how long before you started did you get af?

I had taken soy to O this cycle and it was a bust so I went ahead and started the maca basically midcycle and 2 1/2 weeks later here is af naturally! yay...never thought I would be happy to have af come, but when you realize her importance whoa does it make you change your opinion about her...lol

I dont think I've had a problem with O, but it was coming later like CD18-20. I started taking a B-complex vitamin and that brought O to CD16 last month and I'm hoping it will continue to move forward this month to CD14, maybe? I started the MACA last month but it was the same day I O'd. Havent really noticed much effect but now I've been starting to take just 1tbsp 1x/day. I'm doing that this week now that I found a yummy low-fat recipe (mochachino type drink). I'll try to up it to 2tbsp/day next week. I really think the B-complex did it for me last month. Hopefully the MACA will continue to help things along this month. We shall see. Just waiting to O here.

Another county heard from here in the land of whonky cycles. I am at day 36 no Ovulation, no period. Saw the doc today and he said it's because I am breastfeeding and need to stop. I explained that would not happen so what's next in his bag of tricks. He said he would do a CD3 blood draw. So we shall see if af ever shows up what the blood work reveals.

ITU, I really want to O but I'd be *almost* as happy to see AF instead That's encouraging that you got AF just 2.5 weeks after starting the maca. I haven't read about soy yet--I'll have to do a search. How do you take it and when?

You take soy Isoflavones just like clomid...cd3-7 for more eggs, cds 5-9 for more mature eggs...I read somewhere that there are some women taking it cds3-9 it does have a tendency to make you O late ...you can start out with 80mgs and increase from there depending on whether you O or not.

A mothers love...CONGRATULATIONS ON THE BFP!!

how many mgs of soy did you do and for how long?
I read that taking clomid and maca it can counrteract each other...wonder if it could do the same with soy? Or maybe it just helps it along in the process.

Mother's Love- Big Congratulations on the BFP!!!:: I'll be for sure taking soy next with maca.

Skittles- I think I'm going to up mine and dh's dosage on maca because we didn't notice anything yet, but my temps are still high so that might have something to do with the maca. I'm Cd23 and 5DPO, and driving myself crazy because I know it's too early to test but I want to anyway. Withdrawal is so bad sometimes

I hope maca is helping everyone else in this thread!!!

Thanks for that info. I guess it's not really used to bring on the first pp af in a nursing mom then? I don't have a cd3 at this point. Hmm. And B6 seems to be to lengthen luteal phase. Maybe maca is the only thing I can try at this point...

I'm not feeling any different from the maca. No change in mood, energy, libido. I guess it's only been a week. I of course am worried that there's something wrong with the capsules I got from amazon. I think they're Nature's Herbs. Not organic. And they were cheap

sonup - B vitamins dont just lengthen LP, they help regulate a hormonal balance since B vitamins are used in cellular metabolism. B6 is especially important but its better to take it with a correct balance of all the B vitamins. I would suggest a B-complex vitamin. Its helped regulate my cycles and it cant hurt to take it. Its got the extra folic acid too(I take about 1200mg total daily since I have family hx of anencephaly). B vitamins are water soluble so your body will just eliminate via the urine what it doesnt need, so take a B-complex at a different time than your other folic acid and multivitamin to be sure you get the full benefit.

What would you do? I am on CD38, I have never, ever, ever, had a cycle last more than 32 days and that was the anomaly. Recently, my cycles have been 21 days w/o progesterone, 27 with. This month I stopped nursing at night, started maca on CD10 and started taking DHEA, wheat grass, blue green algae, and royal jelly, no progesterone. Oy it's a lot of pills with my 6 prenatals and 4 juice for life's.

But I digress... my question is where is my period? I feel bloated (never felt like this before, my abdomen actually feels kind of hard I am so bloated, I have slight abdominal cramps, especially when I stand up. I never have cramps until af actually starts and then they are back cramps and vaginal not abdominal. So my ? is should I stop taking maca for a few and see if it shows up? I didn't ovulate this month so I'm not pregnant. I did poas Saturday or Monday (can't remember which day) just in case I ovulated and did't realize it, no surprise bfn. What would you do skip the maca? My doc. of course said the long cycle was because of breastfeeding. Even though I have been breastfeeding for 33 months and my cycles have been short not long. I am 42 so a longer cycle could mean perimenopause oy vey. So now that you know more than you ever wanted to know about me... Any suggestions?

I don't have any suggestions... perhaps the maca is regulating your cycles? Making them longer then they used to be? Either way, if you don't feel right with what you are taking you should definitely stop and take something you DO feel right taking. Good Luck!

Hi Ladies...does anyone want to take over tomorrow with a new fancy June thread? I would do it, but we're going to be moving in June and I will be without internet (oh, the thought of it sends shivers up my spine) for possibly a few weeks!

Well, low and behold ff just gave me crosshairs at CD35.

Hmm, I think it's wrong but if it's correct there's only a slim chance of my getting pregnant since we only bd once last week and I don't remember when. Grrr. We were travelling so I didn't keep track. So it has me at 5 dpo, so I'm officially in 2ww. Though I still think it's incorrect it's nice to actually think I might have o'd.

How slim a chance? You don't have BD days marked on your chart for nosy chart-stalkers like me That is very cool that you may have o'd, baby dust to you!!

I'm still doing 2000mg maca. I picked up some liquid Vitex and am going to start with 20 drops a day--does that sound like a good dose? Wish me luck!

I have no idea how slim a chance. I find this hard to believe because I have officially ventured into the realm of clinically obsessed but I don't remember what day we bd last week. I forgot to write it down. We were traveling and busy and only bd one time. Oy. So if it's meant to be it will happen this month if not there is always June I did guestimate based on when we were actually driving to/from and guessing puts it about 2 days before o but that's a really rough estimate possibly based on a subconscious wishful thinking. I also didn't write down CM signs for several days don't know if that was because there was none or because I just didn't write it down. Time will tell. FF says I should wait until June 13 to test.

Don't know what to tell you about the vitex. I bought some fertili tea with vitex in it and it seemed like I had less cm than normal so I stopped it. But that might have been coincidental since my cycle is so drawn out this month.

Good luck. Thanks for the baby dust.

I just take 1000 mg of vitex daily. 500 in the morning, 500 at night. That doesn't give me headaches or stomach aches or anything... of course I just went and bought them without being recomended by anyone. haha

Hi all! I saw others posting about this or in their siggy so I am looking for more info on it. Some FYI about me if it matters...we want to start TTC or have been I guess but I have no cycle yet at almost 20 months. My chart popped up for the second time now thinking I Oed but I doubt it. I really do not want to get my cycle back but if that is what it takes to get #3 then so be it. So I am on the road to learn more about how maca can help and where I can figure out how much I would need to take if I decided to give it a try. If you have any informational sites I would greatly appreciate them.

Thank you,
Lisa Marie
