My update:
I'm 41,1.
Yesterday DH and I went to a teaching session for Chinese Medicine PhD students, where I was an example for labor induction. I expected it to be very cut and dry - you know, needle here, needle there, the end. But instead, the instructor and the students were so loving and spiritual. During the treatment we saw a slide show of another woman's home birth, a poem was recited to us (a beautiful one about welcoming labor), songs of blessing were sung, and a Native American flute song to welcome babies and help the mother was played. It was so moving, and they had me in tears! Much more than I expected from a room full of strangers learning about acupuncture. That experience was worth the 41 weeks; it left me feeling so loved and strong.
As far as labor goes - ha ha! I am having more contractions with just a touch of back cramping... but I'm not getting my hopes up yet.

: I'm getting so anxious for everyone, because I know you all can't wait to meet your LO's!

: Going to try to work it out in a hot shower now. Seriously, they NEED to come out.
