My update:
I'm 41,1.
Yesterday DH and I went to a teaching session for Chinese Medicine PhD students, where I was an example for labor induction. I expected it to be very cut and dry - you know, needle here, needle there, the end. But instead, the instructor and the students were so loving and spiritual. During the treatment we saw a slide show of another woman's home birth, a poem was recited to us (a beautiful one about welcoming labor), songs of blessing were sung, and a Native American flute song to welcome babies and help the mother was played. It was so moving, and they had me in tears! Much more than I expected from a room full of strangers learning about acupuncture. That experience was worth the 41 weeks; it left me feeling so loved and strong.
As far as labor goes - ha ha! I am having more contractions with just a touch of back cramping... but I'm not getting my hopes up yet.

that is so awesome! and i tell ya, the acupuncture definitely did it for me, so i'm crossing my fingers that it's one it for you as well! loads and loads of beautiful, blissful birthing vibes to you!

I'm still here. I'm 42+3, but my MW and I had a discussion and moved my date, so I'm ?40+3?... Who knows?

I think I sprung a small leak yesterday... and I've been contracting a little more intensely for the past 24hours, but nothing really painful or consistant. I did end up sleeping with my belly uncovered - the coolness kept me from noticing most of the contractions so I could actually sleep.

Still here 41 weeks today. Had my non-stress test today. All went well my LO looked "text book perfect". I have a biophysical profile scheduled for the morning and a stretch&sweep in the afternoon. If LO doesn't come by Friday I will have another biophysical and stretch&sweep on Friday.

Monday is D day for home birth. So keeping my fingers crossed that things will move along.

Sending positive labour vibes to all the waiting mama's!

I'm still here for now - 41w2d. I've had strong contractions every day for over a week now, but they never last for more than a few hours.
oh mamas.... sending you all labor vibes. Strong ones. Ones that work!!!
It seems like forever since I was pg. I can barely remember how I felt in labor and right afterwards (... you know, the "I'll never do this again feeling") and am looking forware (way forward) to the next one. Yes, the next one. I decided after watching the business of being born that I will continue having babies until we get one good homebirth video of me giving birth so I can conceptualize all of what I have experienced.

So, yeah. You can do it mamas!!!!

Well, 41 w 3 d today. Have had more BH this week and even some back cramping after Sunday's acupuncture session... but not much promising since then. Not sure where to go from here - I don't want to push it too much with my care providers at this point. I tried to get another acupuncture appt, but none of the recommended practitioners are in the office today! So, if nothing happens by tomorrow morning, we may try castor oil. Nasty, but maybe it would do the trick?!

And JunipersMom... here's one for you: my babies aren't even out yet and I'm pretty sure I have a plugged duct : Going to try to work it out in a hot shower now. Seriously, they NEED to come out.

Every morning I am here eagerly checking....who was it that delivered last night???

I have scheduled an induction for Monday am. Not thrilled about it but with the projected size of my darling (10.1 lbs this past Tuesday) feel like it is better to get her out then take any other risks. I am crossing my fingers that she will stop be so cozy and lazy and decide that she is ready for life outside the womb on her own. Anyday now I have been telling her, we are ready for you.

She wouldn't be my daughter if she wasn't stubborn and the laidback take it easy gene comes from her daddy. A wicked combination for sure!

How are you other mommies doing? Anyone else scheduled inductions?

Ekatherina is out of the "still waiting club" now LUCKY!!!!

So...

Congratulations mama!

...and, I'm still here. either 40w6d or 42w6d. I REFUSE to get induced, so at some point I will have to resort to... probably castor oil... as a last ditch effort to get baby out in a reasonable time frame. I think I'm starting to make my MW nervous.
