Seedlings - how exciting! Can't wait for your fertilization report. Sending lots of positive vibes your way Ah yes, cherry wine - I was never old enough when we were up there to have more than just a teeny sip of my parents.

Kungfufugirl - just curious about the fish recommendation by your acupuncturist. I've heard other places that women who are pregnant or ttc should avoid/greatly reduce consumption of fish because of the contaminants in it (especially mercury and PCBs)? I take fish oil so I get the benefits of fish without the crud - apparently they can check it and make sure it's "clean"

Last night's shot was anticlimatic - guess that's a good thing After the giant needles of PIO, the Lupron needles are a piece o' cake.

Seedlings - I am so glad to hear that everything is going well! : that you will have lots of eggies fertilize and then they will be sticky beans! I remember what all you've been through, and I will be so happy when you get that BFP!

Seedlings - : for that fertilization report. Wow, 7 days of stimming does sound short.

Aly & Jo - Good luck with the upcoming ER's! It's hard to realized that we are all getting so close.

LisaG - My lupron shot last night was also anticlimatic. It helped that the timing worked that I had to take it during dinner preparations, so there really wasn't much time to worry about it or stall. It was just a quick jab and go. However, I did feel side effects pretty soon as I developed a headache and felt dizzy for the next hour or so. 2 more days of bcp and then on June 30th I have a appt prior to stimming.

It looks like a July IVF thread has been started. I'll probably post there since that's more my time frame, but I'll definately keep watching this thread to see how it turns out.

5 mature

3 fertilized

Praying, Praying, Praying that this is my miracle cycle. It only takes one so I believe in my embies! I know those three are growing and dividing like the miracles that they are. Praying that my re also knew what he was doing this cycle too .

We almost had a REALLY BIG PROBLEM.....no....I almost went postal in my kitchen a while ago....dh was drawing up all my meds....the follistim, the menopur, and the antagon.....well....EXCEPT the antagon! He couldn't find it....we searched for almost an hour and we thought he threw it all away by accident....OMFG!!!! Antagon....the one that prevents ovulation.....and it was almost 10 pm and do you think we would have been able to get a dose tonight?????? It's amazing I didn't blow up the kitchen.....I mean really. THANK GOD we found it in a cabinet we rarely use!!!! yep.....BIG DRAMA at my house tonight.......I need a drink....on no wait...can't have that....crap.....I guess I'll listen to some meditation then

personals later....all this to do has done me in......................

kungfufugirl - - that would've put me over the edge too. Hope you were able to calm down and get some sleep after all of that.

I'm slightly panicked that dh forgot his antibiotic this morning. Not sure how big of a deal to make of it. I'm going to call the pharmacist as soon as they open.

Seedlings: GOOD LUCK, I'm sure one (or two or three) of your embies is your baby!

KFFG: OMG, someone would have DIED here. I almost killed someone because my MIL left my Lupron out of the fridge overnight. The nurse said it would be fine, but I QUICKLY called in my refill and it should be here today, that is the one medication that I DO NOT NEED FAILING!

I had another Dr appt today. I had 20 eggs this time, WOOOHOOO!!. They measured in size from 12-14mm. I'm guessing that is right on track because the u/s tech said they looked "REALLY JUICY!" I'm going to lay down for a little while. I went to bed last night at 1:30 and got up at 5:45 this morning, so a nap is well deserved. I'll update again this afternoon when I hear the results of my blood test.

Ok, you about gave me a heart attack there thinking I had messed up my Lupron by not refrigerating it . I just googled it and it doesn't need to be refrigerated, just stored below 77 degrees Fahrenheit. I shall now return to my regular heart rate

Oh, and great news on the follicle development!

LisaG: When I got the package from the pharm it has REFRIGERATE written all over it in huge letters, so I paniced. HAHAHAHA Sorry to give you a heart attack too

I just got off the phone with Dori at Dr P's office, and they dropped my meds AGAIN!!! The cut me down to 75iu of Gonal-F and 75iu Repronex a day (and of course my Lupron). I guess that means good things. She said my ovaries were responding REALLY well to the meds and My e2 was 1526 today. Today is day 8
of stims for me.

Thankfully, they mentioned this at my teach. Even though the delivery box with the meds stated refrigeration needed all over it and was packed with ice packs, I don't need to regrigerate. However, I still do because we're rather cheap with the a/c here and it can get above 77. Also, the temp tends to fluctuate a lot in the house so I just felt better with that. Regardless, I think the meds will be fine.

p.s. I also put my pio (I think) in the fridge for the same reasons as above. However, it does make me be careful who we are inviting over for dinner since we're not telling.

Oh yeah, surprise vial in the 'frig

Just know that cold PIO is going to be reeeaaallly hard to inject because the colder the oil is the thicker/slower moving it is. I recommend once you fill the syringe that you warm it up under your armpit or in your bra or in your mouth (I've done them all ) before you inject it. That way the oil is nice and flowy vs. thick.

Well today we had our follow up appointment with the RE. He said that on paper everything looked great. I responded well to the meds and had 18 mature eggs. Since 12 fertilized which was 67%, I do not need ICSI. Once fertilization occurred it was the quality of the embryos that he was concerned with. He said that with my age egg quality shouldn't be a problem, however it does seem to be. Of the 12 only one was of excellent quality. So his recommendation is for us to take the summer off. During that time he wants me to get into as best shape as I can and loose weight. He said that decreasing my BMI will increase the quality. He will also change the medications as a way to improve the quality. I am also scheduled to have a biopsy of my uterus to make sure that I don't have a condition that would complicate implantation.
It was a lot to take in, but not all hope is lost. The Dr. is very positive.
So it looks like we are on a break until the fall. At least we can try to save some money.
It is the longest break that I have been on in the past two years. it will be quite the change.

hahaha. We bought our meds and then decided to wait a cycle. I have them wrapped in a boring looking plastic bag, majorly wrapped in packing tape and jammed in the back of the vegetable crisper behind the most unappealing food we have (old jam anyone?) because my whole family came to visit a couple of weeks ago. So yeah, I know what you mean! I even came up with a cover story should anyone ask (specialty ink/toner), but no one did.

DM630, I'm so glad to hear that your follow-up with the RE went well. That does sound like a lot to take in. That is wonderful he's so positive about things. I hope you have a wonderful, relaxing and enjoyable time off taking excellent care of yourself
