I am actually a May IVF not June. This is our first IVF cycle. It looks like our ER will be monday or Tuesday, depends on how the u/s goes on Friday. I have been on lupron since CD21 of my last cycle. On Saturday CD5 we decreased the lupron and added Gonal-f in the pm. Last night we decreased the Gonal-f and added Luveris. I am also doing acupuncture and we plan to have an acupuncture treatment before and after ET. I am nervous about the the ER and ET, but am trying relax and be positive about the whole process. People tell me to try not to think about it all the time, but it is hard when you wake up every morning and have to have a shot and then more in the evening.
Hey, I've been wondering where you were! It is a lot to think about, I read something a while ago about not being necessarily at peace (which you end up trying to force and how "peaceful" is that?), but more being mindful. Like to maybe just accept that yep, you're going through this major thing and yup, the drugs make you crazy and yes, it is hard and a really big deal. How could you NOT think about it? It might be healthier to own it, look at it and just be. Maybe none of that made sense.

Anyway, good luck with your u/s, ER and ET. Being respectful of myself and my feelings helped me with the ER. It was hard, I gave myself permission to have a good cry on dh afterwards and I felt okay about it. Take care of yourself and let your dw take care of you, too.

CRAZY--sorry to hear you won't be joining us! I am glad you are making a good choice for yourself though. I am taking a lot of time off work....no work the last week of June....only VERY pt in week 3, and very little the first week of July, after that only Sundays and some childbirth ed classes for the rest of July. I figure if we are successful, I would rather take it easy and not chance having to lift patients, and if not.....would rather not be around pg people---ANY people as much as possible for a few weeks. In any case....I shouldn't be doing much lifting of anything until those ovaries shrink back down.

Whoa, looking at your dates, I kind of will be joining you! I am waiting for next AF to start BCP's on day 1 which should be around June 11, so I'll only be 2-3 weeks behind you. By "June IVF" I thought y'all would be stimming and having ER/ET in June and be done it all by July. Doesn't make sense I now realize. I will soooooo be lurking on this thread and/or piping up!!!

Yes, glad we waited. I've been through it before and I know I need PLENTY of support. Also feeling like I have a bit more time to get some regular exercise in. Swam yesterday, must go for a walk today....

Good luck everyone!!!

I had my u/s yesterday. Things look good. I am so use to the u/s that I had for IUI with only one or two follicles in each ovary, so when my ovaries looked like a honeycomb it threw me off a little. The largest follicle was 15mm, but most were 10 11 or 12. In total there are 15 or so in each ovary over 10mm and about the same about under 10mm. I go for another u/s and bloodwork tomorrow. i think that the ER will be on Tuesday. I hope that it is on Tuesday. I am ready for the next step.

I'm hanging out and living vicariously through all of you. I hope you don't mind the company! (I'm still just starting testing, so it'll be a bit for me. Maybe August?)

Thanks for the info on the acupuncture. I'd read it helped but I hadn't been able to find %. I've never done acupuncture so I'm still reading up on that!

Hey Aly!! I expect my ER to be around 6/22!!! (Clinic says 6/20-24 for ER and 6/24-28 for ET)...but I am gonna try to put it off just one more day.....to do ER on 6/23, so ET will be 6/27, b/c I have a childbirth class to teach on the eve of 6/26 that I do not want to miss....it is the last of a series of 6, so I don't want to miss their last class! Hopefully my clinic will start me a day late.....

It is nice to see so many joining our group!!!!

dm630--good luck tuesday!!! Congrats on getting this far!!!

rockies--hang in there you'll ber there before you know it!

crazy--it will be nice to h ave you around!

philia--cool ideas! thanks for the support!

Julia's mom--sounds like you are right on track! My teach is right around the same day...but I wrangled the cycle date info out of her already....too many scheduling issues not to know now!

Stealth--I used to exercise a lot, but my acu doc actually told me to stop, b/c I was sending all the energy to my muscles and not my ovaries...so I have been a couch potato lately....I try to get out for walks though.....

Hope--I am in need of a new protocol, too...but not from overstimming.....but from under-stimming....i don't get very many eggs! Hopefully my new RE will come up with a great plan!

Julia's mom--I have a beautiful dd also from IVF #1....she is really more than enough love and joy for me, but I would so love for her to have a sib!

Have a great week everyone! For me it will be one of the last quiet weeks I have left before all of this craziness starts!!!

Jo: Yay, for having a cycle buddy, I honestly dont think I will make it to 6/23 for ER. Depending on when they start stiming me, but on my last IUI cycle of Follistim, I did 3 days of 125, and 1 of 50 and I ended up with 10 eggs, 8 of which were mature. Also back in the day when I was on BCP's 48 hours after I took my last pill I ALWAYS started, they are giving me 5 days to start, It never takes my body that long especially since I will have been on BCP's for 5 weeks. IDK, I'm thinking that It will be more like the 18-20 for ER and 22-25 for my ET. Who the heck knows though, this is just me throwing out random numbers. HAHAHA.

Hopefully our bodies cooperate and we both get the dates we want for ER/ET.

I was wrong about the Er being Tuesday it is now scheduled for Wednesday morning at 7:30. I had another u/s this morning and there were 4 follicles that were 18mm and at least 8 that were 17mm. I am so excited this is finally happening. :for nice looking mature eggs.

Hi everyone -

This is my first posting after reading this board for a few weeks. I'm 34 and my hubby & I have been married 13 years (yep!) and no kids yet. We've been trying for 2 years now, and started on Clomid and IUI cycles in Dec. Just started the first cycle for IVF this week and am giving myself Lupron shots. I'm nervous about the ER (which will probably be somewhere between June 11-15th) but am excited too. Good to see there are others who are going through the same thing, and many who know alot more than I do about this whole process! Thanks for all of your great posts, I'm learning alot.

Yeah for cycle buddies, both you and Aly! I'm going to call today and try and get my dates. Besides, we need them to plan the financials appropriately since my hubby's work bases everything on the fiscal year, which starts in July. So, it's very important for me to know if the ER will be in late June or early July.

Good luck! I'll be praying for you and those follicles.

Hi,

I have been following your thread and would love to join you. This will be my second ivf. I should be starting stims soon. My doctor has an "ivf week" 06/16-06/21. So my er and et will be somewhere in there.

DM630 - Good Luck with your er on Wednesday!

hope4light, Stealthee, Aly22681, Julia'sMom, crazyrunningmama, Rockies5, kungfufugirl, wke, DM630 and anyone else I forgot (so not intentional just my old brain at work here) - Hi and good luck to you all. I am looking forward to sharing this journey with you.

Hi gals

I'll be stimming in June and ER/ET in July. Currently waiting on AF to arrive any day now to get my "official" schedule. Feel like I'm climbing the ladder to the high dive and about to jump off - I will pretend I love jumping off the high dive

No one's sure what the hang up is other than I was born with a uterine birth defect (bicornuate uterus). I had it surgically reconstructed almost 5 years ago, although in December I had a little "renovation" done during a lap/hyst. My doc was able to remove some scar tissue and/or septum to make it a little more welcoming. We had thought the renovation would do the trick, but no such luck thus far. I'm 36 and after 4+ years of trying, I'm ready to pull out the big guns and get the show on the road We waited a while to do any interventions because everyone kept telling me "well at least you know you can get pregnant".

We're working with CCRM in Denver - so I'll be flying out there on day 5 of my stims, with dh to follow once we know when the ER will be. Here's hoping flights won't be insanely expensive by then.

May this be a fabulously successful adventure for all of us!

I had my ER yesterday. It went well and they got 19 eggs. I was pretty sore for most of the day yesterday, but feel so much better today.
I called the RE to find out my results and found that of the 19, 18 were mature and 12 fertilized. Much better numbers then I could have ever imagined. I was expecting the ET to be Sat or monday, but just found out that it looks like it will take place tomorrow. I am so excited.

Scheduling??

Just got off the nurse and trying to figure out my schedule...does this sound right? I started bcp's on 5/20 and have to be on them for 2 weeks. My teach is 6/3 (2 weeks). After that they order the rest of the meds. So, I could start lupon on 6/5. 2 weeks of lupon leads to 6/19. Start stimming on 6/21 which would lead to an early July retrieval. Does that sound right? This is just so complicated that my head is swimming.

If that's right, it looks like I'll be a few weeks behind a lot of you and as such will be able to learn plenty from you.

I also find that I am just now starting to get nerve attacks. Does anyone else wonder if this is really the way to go? Maybe I'm just getting cold feet since it seems so involved and so much is at stake.

Hurray, your embies are growing and multiplying. Sounds like you responded perfectly to your stims.

How exciting to have the et tomorrow. What is your plan as far as bed rest goes? Does your re recomend it?

Good Luck.
