Still Pregnant Check In: 5/5-5/10 - Page 8

I am still here, too. On Friday at my 39 week visit, I was 3 cm dilated and 80% effaced, according to the midwife (Tuesday, I was 1 cm and 50%, so progress). I saw the midwife on Tuesday, because I thought that I was leaking. It was actually just very thin mucous.
Today, contractions began earlier in the day than usual while I was at the grocery. I will have stretches where they are 3-5 minutes apart for an hour, then space out to 15-30 minutes apart. I am walking, rolling on my ball, squatting, meditating, and resting. Trying not to psych myself up too much and then not have this progress much farther.
Perhaps, I will be birthing soon!:

Ha! Love it!

I've had a couple of strong contractions, but hours apart. :

Still pregnant here, but I'm not even "due" yet. Due date is May 19th so hopefully soon!

Well despite the every 5 min contracts, and then them picking up in strength there is no change from where I was at last night. I spent a few hours in the tub, then they kind of tapered off and we went to sleep. The midwife did that rebozo thing to change babies position this morning (it is explained on the spinning babies site) and we hung out at the birth center for the AM, checked around 1 (w/ no change in contractions) found no change and decided it's prodromal and came on home. She did give me something homopathic that was supposed to either make contracts quit if it wasn't time, or kick in if it was but it didn't work. I'm still having em, and they are still the same. I did have ice cream on the way home & a nice loonnnnggg nap with my husband. He went to grab the kids (who headed to grandmas around noon because they were bored) so I'll be getting them to bed, watching this weeks Survivor, and going to bed myself.

Didn't want to leave y'all hanging! Next time i'll wait till i'm in established labor and have Aja_belly post for me ; )

Awwwww.. to all the prodromal mamas. That is just WRONG.

Add me to the prodromal list...

My contractions tapered off over night. I was working feverishly to prepare all of our Mother's Day brunch ahead of time. Thinking merrily, "What a perfect labor project."

I showered a long hot shower, and went to bed to try to rest. Woke up around 2:30 thinking, "I've been sleeping! No serious contractions." I am not too bummed. I had a good night's rest.

The baby is just not ready to show itself, yet. Maybe after the brunch and a long, hard walk, I can get it started, again...

Thinking of NatureMama, this morning and hoping that she too found some rest or has had that baby! :

I'm still here too. Bloody show yesterday morning. Mild contractions here and there, nothing to write home about.

Today's a good day. Come baby come!!

Venting

Well crap. I felt like I was getting sick, but I brushed it off thinking it would go away... today it is hard to deny it, I am getting sick. My ears itch, my throat hurts, and I have this dry cough that makes my cervix burn every time I cough because of the pressure.

I also am not having a very good Mother's Day. The kids suddenly think making two breakfasts for themselves and wasting one because they are "too full" is OK (after I JUST spent $315 on groceries!!) DH is getting to sleep in on "my day" which I am sure will consist of him playing WoW (World of Warcraft, a computer game he puts AT LEAST 4-6 hours a day on, more on weekends) all day and me working on trying to get this house cleaned... oh joy.

I am tired, crabby, hormonal, sick, and just *DONE* being pregnant. I want my baby, but on the other hand, I already have one child who's birthday is early May (ODS-May 8th), I really don't need two birthdays this close together.
