So. We aren't vaxing...now what?

We've made the decision to not vax anymore (she has up to her 2 month shots).
I'm totally comfortable with this decision, however, I know that these diseases can come up in her life. I'm interested now in learning about natural immunity and keeping her safe and healthy. I remember seeing books and links for raising nov vaxed kids, but can't find it when I search. Can some one point me in the right direction?

Wendy Lydall's Raising a Vax-Free Child, Dr. Mendelsohn's book....preggo brain has my brain forgetting the title even though I have it! Aviva Jill Romm's book has remedies for all VAD's.

I have a book by Aviva Jill Romm called Raising Natural Kids or something like that. It has some herbal remedies.

Dr. Mendelson's book is excellent too. He doesn't talk about VPD that much but there is a little section on them.

The best thing you can do is feed your child healthy food, organic if possible, and to allow your child to have the basic childhood diseases not only do they build natural immunity to the various diseases, they help build the immune system so it can fight other things.

We threw out our microwave
Threw out sunscreen (moderate exposure with hats, sunglasses and long sleeves)
Threw away all air fresheners
All chemicals (clean with vinegar, baking soda, the OCCASIONAL bleach in my wash)
Have your water tested and/or get a filtration system
No Teflon cookware
No antibacterial soaps
Switch to lotions and shampoos that don't have a bunch of crap (parabens, chemicals, alcohol, I like Burt's Bees for most of my stuff)
No Soda
No MSG
No High Fructose Corn Syrup (really hard one to get rid of)
Cut down on sugar
Cut down on dairy
Upgraded to organic when possible
Growing my own food in garden (Four Season Harvest, excellent book)
They go outside to play, we don't do Nintendo, Xbox or Wii (we do have a gameboy, but not used that much, I do allow teenager to IM a bit)
Stuff like that!

And here I was thinking that the parents who DID vax were the ones that should be concerned! My kids are 9,8,6 and 4 and the two older got no shots after about a year, (honestly, I can't remember when we stopped...) the two younger never had any. We haven't done anything special...they got chicken pox 2 years ago, I gave them tons of Vit. C and that's it, they were fine and scar free in under 2 weeks. We eat pretty good, lots of fruit, veggies and yoghurt, no red meat, whole grains, etc...but they do have candy and soda once a week. I use mainstream cleaners and such. We homeschool, but they have a large community of friends and are outside all the time. We do be careful and wear shoes outside and be more vigilant where tetanus is a concern, but other than that, I don't do anything differently that I would if they were vaxed....See, I thought that NOT vaxing made it easier, so I just lived that way. I guess it's all in how you look at it, or maybe my kids just have immune systems on steroids
