Apologies in advance for the TMI, but this is getting miserable!

Okay, I think poop talk is about as TMI as it can get. But I have to see if anyone else has a solution to the problem. Please, stop reading now if you'd rather not hear about my potty problems. I'm slightly embarassed even having to write this out. For the past few days I've been on the potty constantly, mostly for #1, but going #2 about 3-4 times daily. That's not the problem, though...the issue is that they're not loose stools, but they're not "firm" either...just enough in between (really soft) to make it a nuisance. I always feel like I can't get everything out and TMI but it feels like it takes half a roll of TP to get completely clean.

So there, I said it...again, REALLY sorry for the TMI but does anyone who's had this issue have a solution? I've tried upping my fiber and water intake and it's not helping, but other than that haven't made any dietary changes that would CAUSE this. It's getting almost miserable!! Everything makes my tummy rumbly, too.

dont have anything for the poop. but try cottonel comfort wipes they get you clean alot better so you dont have to use so much toilet paper. I love them and they are flushable.

I actually have wipes by the potty (I use them on DD's bum) and I've been using those each time, but it doesn't seem to help as much as I'd hoped.

This is so embarassing.

Please don't feel embarassed. I have all sorts of poop issues when pregnant, including some unwanted leakage here and there. I use dd's cloth wipes and it seems to help really get things clean.

I find that if you use wet then dry it works better too

Ah yes the sticky tar poop, nothing i tried fixed it up until i started taking paracetamol (tylonol?) for the roids. Now they are on the hard side, but at least i dont have to wipe for an hour. I used cloth wipes and a peri bottle to get everything clean.

cloth TP. wet cloth TP.

I got up last night 3 times to poop. Each time they were very soft and SUPER sticky. I think prelabor horomones do something to your bowels.

Use a washcloth wet with HOT water and it will feel nice as well as get you cleaner.

My problem exactly. I almost pooped my pants the other day. We have a septic tank and so can't use the adult butt wipes, so I finish up with cloth and it is fine. But my butt is sore.

I was like that last week for about 3 days - it drove me nuts. I hated feeling like I wasn't 'clean'. I used wipes or a washcloth with hot water too and took lots of showers!

I don't know what caused it or why it went away, but thankfully it did.

hang in there!

I use water to finish cleaning. You can put in in an old water squirt bottle. I get the big stuff, water and dry. works well

my peri bottle has been a big help. Yep the tar poop is totally unpleasant.

Sounds like me for the past few months!

I use the "Kandoos" wipes- sensitive kind, meant for toddlers. Also, I keep a tube of desitin handy b/c my tush is irritated and it helps a lot. I have no idea how to stop the cause of the problem, though.

Don't be embarrassed, I'm having similar problems. The embarrassing part came when I had to ask DH for help wiping! I use a little witch hazel after wiping and that seems to ease the pain a little.

I've been having these for a couple weeks now.

I second the cloth wipes/Kandoo wipes. I assumed it was my iron supplement, but maybe not.

Again with my PSA: DON'T USE THE FLUSHABLE ADULT/TODDLER BUTT WIPES IF YOU HAVE A SEPTIC TANK.
