I was curious to know what everyone thought which EO were a "must" for natural home and body care.

Here's what I use...

For me, I definitely love having peppermint or spearmint. It's very clean, invigorating, fresh, and deodorizing. I love to put a couple drops in the dishwater when I'm doing dishes or few drops in a bath. ...and it makes a lovely room spray when you put some in a spray bottle with water.
Tea tree oil is also good to have.

Here is what I have to have:

Orange and lime: put 10 drops in a spray bottle of vinegar for all purpose cleaner

Peppermint: put 15 drops into a hot bath to relieve muscle aches

Citronella: use outside to ward off mosquitos

TTO: use in laundry and on cuts or infections

Pillow potion (lavendar and hops mixture bought from Aura Cacia in a Frontier co-op): use 15 drops in a spray bottle with water, for a night linen spray

If I had to pick just one to have, I would pick peppemint. I love the smell and so I use it in every cleaning solution I make, the smell really perks me up when I'm feeling tired or fuzzy and it's wonderful aromatherapy for headaches, too.

Peppermint is my favorite. I love to put it in a diffuser when I have a headache or when I'm sleepy and need a 'pick me up' scent. I also use Peppermint EO + baking soda to make my own version of Carpet Fresh. Sprinkle it on the carpet, wait like 15 min, and vacuum it up. Viola! Yummy smelling room.

I use Eucalyptus and Lavendar EO in a vaporizer/ humidifier in my kids' rooms when they have a cold / congestion.

I also like California Baby's Cranky/Overtired EO Blend. It smells so good.

Right now I only have and use tea tree oil and spearmint (which personally I'd love to just sniff all day long lol). I wanted to pick up some lavender for use as a linen spray but wondered what else I ought to have on hand. Thanks for the tips/ideas!

I think essential essentials are lavender, lemon or orange, eucalyptus and tea tree.

I don't want to live without grapefruit, rosemary and peppermint, though. I loooove grapefruit scented vinegar in a downy ball for the wash. Rosemary is great with lemon in the bath and peppermint makes everything smell better.

In my house it's tea tree oil for baby's wipes and cleaning, orange oil to put in my vinegar all purpose cleaner, and clove oil just because. I LOOOVE clove oil!!

Lavender. Lemon. Tea Tree. Peppermint.
I love the smell of grapefruit, but I could live without it if I had to.

I actually have over 75 different oils and lavender is the only one I can't live without. Tea tree runs a very close second. I use a 50/50 blend of the two as a boo boo oil and also in my facewash.

I also love citrus oils for cleaning and they are usually pretty cheap.
