You seem to be the Shepherd's Purse expert...so I have a question. I have a bottle of the tincture in my birth supplies...should I plan on using it no matter what once I deliver the placenta or should I just wait and watch for excessive bleeding? I have no reason to think I'll have bleeding issues but I'd rather be proactive about it.

FWIW- I can guaruntee everyone that I'm NOT ready to stick a chunk of placenta in my mouth, so there's a reason I'm specifically asking about the SP.

Not nature mama, but i believe you only take it if there is signs of bleeding, it works really quickly so you will know if you need to up the dose or try something else.

There's no HARM in taking it just in case, but bewarned you may experience more clots than you would otherwise.

It does work VERY fast, so if you DO have bleeding that is too fast you don't need to worry about it taking a long time.

If you can, get some birthroot/bethroot (called Trillium up in our neck of the woods) to go along with it. That can be used for bleeding before the placenta is out as well as afterward with shepherd's purse.
