Sent a letter to LiveScience, Yahoo, and the author.
I sent a bit of a rant on the breastfeeding stuff then:

Anyway, sorry for the digression, I said I was going to address your article. Unless you are accusing a group of committing genocide, the term Nazi is inappropriate and belittling to every person who died or lost a family member during the Holocaust. It does not apply to people who simply hold firm beliefs, only to people who commit genocide. It does not apply to people who express opinions different than yours, only to people who commit genocide. It does not apply to people who present scientific research that gives you a twinge of guilt about your choice to not take certain actions, only to people who commit genocide.

Oh yeah, that was bad, truly awful. His attempts at jokes were pitiful as well. Ugh.

Got a response from Yahoo. Typical fill in the name reply about it not being their problem.

I'm proud that I wasn't sucked in (pun intended) by all the Le Leche League-sponsored studies/results and just did what I wanted. I know NO ONE who was BF'd and we're normal. The kids these days have all kinds of things going on...adhd, aspergers, etc...and the increase coincides with the increase in breastfeeding. Is the media afraid to point this out. Even the NIH has a very good article about the insane amounts of dioxins in US women's breastmilk."

Geez....Did she ever think that what she ate could reduce chemicals in her body?

the article is awful... complete drivel. But did you read the pro-BF comments? They totally lay the smack down Way more info to be gleaned from them than from the article, so hopefully they will have the true influence. Plus, I think anyone who allows that article to influence them to FF were looking for an excuse anyway

LOL WHAT

I can't believe people are so ignorant about something that their bodies are supposed to do. I bet you that woman would let a cow carry her baby through pregnancy if it was the new way to do things and then scoff at those women still doing it the old fashioned way by being pregnant themselves.

I mean shit, I don't even think formula is this horrible stuff and I think that spending your [general you] time attacking formula feeders is stupid and would be better suited helping a new mom who is struggling with breastfeeding. That goes for both sides too. You can't turn back the clock so you may as well help the new mom with no one on her side who is exhausted and trying to give her baby the best stuff! Random tangent.

I love this article. It proves how idiotic uninformed people sound. Let idiots be idiots. The only person they harm is themselves.

By the way, I can't believe this guy actually had a book published. I don't think I've ever read an article that was so poorly written.
