Baby born on Sunday and my milk hasn't come in!

I gave birth on Sunday morning by c-section to my second child. With my first, who was also born by C-section, my milk had come in by the third day. I'm nearing the end of the third day and I don't feel as if my milk has come in. My breasts are not full, or rock hard. There is no engorgement whatsoever. The baby is nursing around every two hours or so. He doesn't always nurse from both sides, but I am starting to pump a little from the unused breast after he nurses. What gives??? Any ideas? I really want to breastfeed this baby at least until he is a year old, and now this is beginning to scare me that something may be wrong.

I don't think you have any concern...sometimes it just takes a little more time. Just drink a lot of water and eat well. Is baby having plenty of wet/poopy diapers? Does baby seem content? Or restless while nursing? If baby seems content and having plenty of wet/poopy diapers....then she/he is probably still getting your first milk...and you just have not gotten your 'real' milk in yet....give it a couple more days. I would guess that by this weekend you will be engorged...lol.

also I have been told that pumping this early is not good.....wait ateast a month (prefferably longer) Basically until your milk supply has established it self and regulated according to what baby uses.

Sometimes it can take five days. Your babe will be okay on colostrum.

With my first,it took 5 days for my milk to come in.

With my second, it took 24 hours to come in. I think its jsut diffferent with each one. And I never got engorged this time like I did with DS becaue we got nursing down pat quicker since I had experience already KWIM?
