how often/cleaning?

how often do you clean your home? specifically your bathroom, kitchen and floors?
The bathroom gets cleaned every day, the kithen floor gets swept 2x a day and mopped every 2-3 days.
The rest of the house, pick up every day, dust weekly.

the bathroom gets a deep clean, sweep or vacuum, mop, in the corners, walls wiped down, sink and counter cleaned, toilet cleaned 1 time a week. tub gets rinsed out most days, it probably gets a real good wipe down every 2 weeks or so but will be more here come summer with the boys out and about playing in the mud.

kitchen, I shoot for dishes washed everyday but sometimes will let eveing ones slide and do them with the morning ones. the deep cleaning in the kitchen, I go through phases where it's all the time getting done and then to the point of "I can't stand the clutter any longer"

floors... in front of the door and the big pathways which includes the kitchen get swept a couple times a day if everyone is at home (meaning hubby , he's the big mess maker, don't wipe my feet), if he's not at home 1x a day does it. the living room floor gets the "shark" the rechargeable vacuum run most every day of an eveing before bed by my big guy (age 5 he thinks it fun... so some times it's really only the really high spots) the other floors can go week(s) without being tended to. For mopping.... hum has anyone seen my mop pail? I realllllly need to mop!

I surface clean the whole house (wiping down counters, coffee tables, sweeping floors, making beds etc.) daily. Dishes go directly into the dishwasher, so that isn't an issue and it's run when it's full.

Bathroom mirror and counter are done daily, floors and around the toilet etc. are done once a week.

Pretty much like Alkenny. We have all hardwood floors. I go over the floors with a lightweight vacuum every day. I mop once a week unless it needs it sooner. All surfaces are wiped down every day (and if there is something laying out, it gets put away). I scrub the kitchen sink once a week, clean the fridge once a week. The countertops get wiped down after every meal. Bathrooms - my mom takes care of her bathroom. Ours is wiped down occasionally through the week because I have a very hairy Middle Eastern husband. I clean it once a week.

We have 1 bathroom so I clean it daily.

Kitchen gets basically cleaned daily, we don't have a dishwasher so I am constantly doing dishes and wiping counters.

Dust/sweep the house daily-all wood and tile floors. We have a dog and 2 cats so this is unavoidable!

I wash the floors once a week and spot clean the wood floors.

I do a load of laundry a day and with a family of 3 with not a lot of clothes, this works well for us.

I try to get the house really clean on Friday so I have it nice all weekend. This is the idea, but it is a mess by Saturday afternoon!

Bathroom, kitchen and floors get "cleaned" weekly with vinegar and baking soda.

We are a family of three with no pets at this time. DD is 7 now.

Kitchen:
Dishes - go into dishwasher after every meal, run when full...handwash once a day or every two days.
Counters & stove top - wiped down after every meal prep.
Sink - scrubbed with baking soda before I handwash once a day or every two days. Put away dry dishes and swap towel following day. (I don't use a dish rack anymore.)
Tile floor - run Roomba once a week (vacuum) and run Scooba once a week (picks up, mops, squeegees about as dry as traditional mopping), so it is basically getting vacuumed twice a week. I spot clean the corners and in front of the stove in between, as needed.
Table - gets completely cleared off and wiped down about once a week or every two weeks. I spot clean and shake placemats nearly every day.

Bathrooms:
We have two full baths, but ours just has a full-size shower (same size as bath/shower, but no depth), and a half-bath. Too many for my tastes! LOL I clean them as needed.
Counters and sinks - get cleaned more often than anything else (ours nearly every day).
Toilets and mirrors - less often.
Showers/baths - even less often. I wipe down the edge of our shower that is on the bathroom side fairly often, though. I rinse down the walls and doors several times a week.
Floors - I don't have a set schedule like I do for the kitchen. Sometimes I do them by hand with a rag after I clean the mirrors. Sometimes I set the Roomba loose for a few minutes. Sometimes I set the Scooba loose for half a cycle. (I split the time downstairs with the foyer. I split the time between both upstairs baths. A cycle is 45 min of mopping, which would be OVERKILL for any one of those spaces on their own...even if they were downright muddy. LOL)

Generally, I pick up daily and do a load of laundry 5-6 days a week. Our home is always open to friends, family, and neighbors. It is never filthy (barring construction times!) and I could have VIPs or a dinner party or houseguests with an hour's notice, which would include sweeping the front walkway and weeding the little garden out the kitchen slider and changing sheets or throwing on a nice tablecloth.

Right now, though, our house is in upheaval due to new furniture being delivered mid-day today. We had to empty our bedroom, which turned into a few long projects! LOL Now, every room except the kitchen and bathrooms have been impacted! Old furniture is lingering downstairs while DH lists it on freecycle. "Stuff" is lingering upstairs out of our bedroom. The new furniture is semi in place and needs some fine-tuning tomorrow, then we can get at least the upstairs back to order. We need to sleep and wake up in the room to get a feel for the proper arrangement.

I found some useful lists to help me with this. I'm not there yet, but working on it! These charts give suggestions of what to do each day.

I really clean my house once a week. The kitchen gets picked up and wiped down after every meal. The bathroom I'll wipe down a few times a week. The floors I sweep and mop once a week but I have to sweep at least every other day and wipe up spills.

i pretty much do whatever deep cleaning seems urgent on my days off from work. and do the quick stuff in spare minutes while tea brews or breakfast microwaves.

daily i do some dishes, and flyladys swish and swipe in the bathroom

kurt is in charge of vacuming so i'm not sure but i think it gets done monthly? mopping is something my mother and i alternate so it gets done a little more reguarly say every other week?

Wow. I'm officially the laziest MDC mama. LOL! Dishes get done everyday (put in dishwasher after being used, start dishwasher when full). Counters get wiped down daily, same with stove. Kitchen floor gets swept maybe once a week. Mopped maybe.... ummm... once a month? It's just really not that dirty. Bathrooms get deep cleaned maybe once a month? Again, we have 2 1/2 baths and only 3 people living here and we're really not home that much so it just doesn't get dirty quickly. Quick cleanings in the bathroom maybe once a week/every other week. Amazingly, it just really doesn't look that dirty. We must not really live in our house much

You can click on my blog to see my detailed cleaning lists.

Tuesday is kitchen day. But I clean the floor daily as part of my daily chores. However, my kitchen is carpeted- my landlord must have been temporarily insane. I hate carpeting in the kitchen! I truly have no idea how often I would mop if I had a regular floor. Maybe still daily.

Every day for all three (kitchen, bathroom, floors), although I admit that I don't always get around to mopping every single day. The floors are swept and vacuumed every day but if I'm being honest probably only mopped 3-4 times a week.

Man, we are dirty!

Since ds was born (10 wks ago) we've cleaned the bathroom 2 times. Toilet and sink have been cleaned a couple times on top of that. We sweep about 3 times a week. We mopped before he was born, I don't know when I'll get that chance again. Dirty dishes get cleaned every day. But the kitchen counters and table tend to get piled upon and cleared off once a week.

Wish one of you clean mamas had time to come help me out! Or maybe I could just come over and enjoy your house. Although we'd probably mess it up.

Carpeting in the eating room here too. Not ideal for our family! Thankfully the kitchen is not carpeted. I try to pick up the spills quickly from the carpet, but it doesn't look good. The landlords said they may be able to put in new flooring in fall or next year. Yay!
