? about internal exams for those who have had them...

I had one Tuesday afternoon and that night I was extremely crampy which I figured was normal. No bleeding or anything though. The cramping has continued today but not as bad as yesterday. Should it last this long? I had one the week before as well but felt nothing afterwards.

I don't think this is a sign of labor, I'm just wondering if anyone else had cramping this long after one.

I have never had cramping after one...

i had lots of cramping and contrax for 2 days after my VE. i even lost some mucous plug (woo hoo!), and none of this ever happened with DD.

here's to hoping it means something. i read that you have your c-section scheduled if you don't go into labor. i do too, for my due date, so i'm really excited by any signs that things might be progressing. good luck!

Thanks! I'm the 28th - how about you? When was your last VE? I hope you go into labor before yours too!! : I'd like as much time as I can get, but if this does mean something I have to get through this weekend first! I've had cramping on and off for weeks though, so in my case I don't think it means too much.

I haven't had any VEs this pregnancy, but always have had some sort of mild cramping after those that I have had during previous pregnancies. More intense the closer I have gotten to birth.

my midwife has been VERY gentle and I've not had any cramping/etc after them. Providers I've had in the past have caused cramping though.

mine is scheduled for the 25th (i think, she just scheduled it on monday). my last VE was monday, and wednesday was my big mucous day. hehehe. i've been cramping the whole pregnancy too, and i did with DD, but they do feel just a tiny bit stronger this time...

i'm also not totally anxious to have the baby just to be done being pregnant (well, not right now. that changes 15 times a day!). honestly, the baby still feels a little small to me to me, so the longer the better. i just really, really want to go into labor! i wish i could just know, so that i could prepare myself for either a VBAC or a repeat c/s. trying to plan for the possibility of both is stressful.

i see the OB again on monday. i've decided that if i made progress since the last VE, i'm going to ask if she'll see me 2x the week before the c/s for an extra membrane sweep. who knows, maybe it'd work.
