Nursing, pregnancy, sensitivity

I'm 32 weeks pregnant and nursing my 18 month old. The nipple pain I had earlier in the pregnancy is thankfully gone. However, they are now just incredibly...um... sensitive. Which is wonderful for my partner and I, but emphatically NOT wonderful when I'm trying to nurse my son.

Someone please tell me this is normal, and that it will go away after the new babe is here. I can put up with it for the next few months, but if nursing my son (and gods forbid, the baby) still feels anything like it does now I'm not sure I can continue.

Totally normal. For me the feeling has changed a lot throughout the pregnancy. Sometimes it is fine, other times I can't stand it. I've read that your actual emotions toward nursing your toddler can change drastically as well - it may be great one day, then give you the creepy-crawlies the next. Totally normal.
