I use honey to wash my face and sometimes as a bodywash. I keep it in the bathroom as I'd otherwise forget it if I had it anywhere else in the house. Plus, I don't want my bath honey to be used in the kitchen. Anyhoo, it's turned grainy all of a sudden. It feels like a sugar scrub now. I'm guess there's nothing harmful going on, right? I'm just not too fond of using something so grainy on my face all the time because I'm afraid of irritating my acne-prone skin. Is it grainy from being kept in the bathroom with the steam from the shower?

It's crystalizing. Warm it in the microwave or in some hot water; it'll smooth out again.
When the honey I use for hairwashing starts doing that, I start adding water to dilute it. I just need to add less water when mixing it with the baking soda then.

: It's just crystalizing. Warming it up will fix it. I actually prefer my honey that way. I feel like it's more of an exfoliant and it makes my skin feel really soft. My acne prone skin seems to hold up to it pretty well too which I'm amazed and pleased with.
