Mama cloth suggestions

I think my cycle is returning and I want to make the switch to Mama cloth. I plan on getting a Diva cup to use mostly, but I'd like to have some cloth too. I have seen Lunapads. Any other suggestions? How many do I need? TIA!

I am really loving my Vaj Pads. www.vajpads.com

They are well made, and nice and thin. She has done custom lengths for me at no extra charge. These are the only cloth pads that I have tried that don't bunch up or shift. And she has beautiful fabric choices -

I LOVE my Amaz Padz (www.amazpadz.com)! They are so high in demand, though, that you have to get to stalk her website on Monday morning when she posts the new products. Literally, mark it on your calendar.

I use menstrual cup, as well, but I still use liners during the day to cover any leaks, pads at night & pads on the lighter days just because that's what I prefer. I like to have enough to cover a whole cycle without having to launder them so I think I have 4 of each size....4 liners, 4 everydays & 4 nighttime. This gets me through using the cup & occasional pads.

i'm new to mama cloth also. my cycle hasn't come back yet, but i keep thinking it will. so i made my own. i used 1 layer of flannel and then about 4-6 layers of diaper gauze fabric from joann's and the bottom layer is fleece.

I LOVE www.homemademama.com pads. Very nice, well made, lots of choices of sizes, fabrics, shapes, etc. I have a coupon code- if you're interested pm me. If you order a sample pack you get free shipping. She's really nice, too.

You're not kidding! I was there at 1 EST on the dot (I kept refreshing). I did get what I wanted. I looked again at 1:10- everything was sold out except for the liners. They were sold out soon after.

I also have TLC pads. I like them ok. I'd probably like them more if I'd gotten longer ones- the ones I have are too short, but that's obviously my fault, because its what I ordered.

At the moment, I have 2 medium pads (work like heavy for me), 2 light (work like medium), 3 light (work like light for me), and 1 pantiliner. 2 of the med/light ones are kinda backup ones. That's not quite enough for me- I had to wash twice during AF, and one of those times I didn't have enough clothes for a full load. I'm sure if I used the diva cup more often, that would be enough pads for me. I really only use it when I'm going out. I'm not sure why...lol
I just ordered 2 more medium and 2 light from HMM, and one set of the shortest Ama'z padz 9.5in (1 liner and 2 pads).

I'm sure that will be more than enough for me. (I bought the HMM ones because they have coffee cups on them lol). I'm not sure why I bought so many. I got caught up in it. lol.

I think the best strategy is to buy one or a few each of a few different kinds, see how you like them, and then buy more of the best ones or try new kinds.

I like TLC Pads too, but I agree that the shortest size can be too short unless you wear very tight clothes that prevent it from shifting at all. Measure your disposable pads and order cloth pads an inch longer.

Another brand I like is Rhythm & Blues. The ends are kind of squarey and can show through clothes--but they're comfortable, and the double snap keeps them in place really well, and I like the all-in-one-but-quick-drying design.
