could this be early labor??

tell me honestly, even though i want to hear that it is early labor.

so, i'm feeling a pretty constant burny/ache in my lower uterus (yeah, right at my old c/s scar). it kind of feels like mild heartburn or indigestion. i'm getting some contractions, but they don't seem to correspond at all to the pain. they come and go and make it hurt a bit more, but when they go, the pain is still there.

maybe this is just a c/section kind of thing? my OB said pain at the incision site was due to the scar tissue not stretching as well. could it be that the contrax are moving the baby lower, which is causing the constant pain? and more importantly, what does that tell me about real labor? do you think this even counts as an early labor sign?

it could be, also could be BH with round ligament pains around the incision area... I hope you feel better soon!

I really hate to tell you this...but I've had that feeling on and off for weeks now. Sometimes it gets crampy, sometimes it doesn't. I have not had contrax though, so there is a difference...maybe that means something for you!!

that's ok, i don't mind the truth. it won't disturb my delusions anyway.

does this make you worry about your scar at all, or are you pretty confident it's just normal scar tissue stretching issues? also, have you ever heard of anyone having scar pain during labor? i'm afraid (if i do indeed go into labor) that it'll hurt and that'll really freak me out. i'm gonna ask my OB on monday about it...

I do worry about it and wonder if it's normal or not. I healed very well and pretty easily but the fact that it hurts or the scar tissue hurts quite often is a concern for me. I hadn't thought about the scar pain during labor, but it's a good question!

Let me know what your OB says, we could also ask on the VBAC forum.

I've been having the exact same pain w/ contractions as well. My OB said that she didn't have any reason to believe that my scar would be a problem.

Hopefully it's a big sign that active labor is right around the corner!
