Considering all I've ever made is quilts, what do you think my chances are?

I would love to have the sewing ability to make these clothes but they are so NMS. I think little kids get swallowed in the busyness of the boutique look. It's hard to see a cutie (like the one on the web site) past the clothing.

The actual designs look pretty simple, it just seems like alot of embellishment and layering. I think you could easily sew any of those designs.
Like the PP said, boutiquey is not really my style either, but I can appreciate the artistry that went in to making them.

I'm just drawn to them for some reason. Perhaps, its because I think they would be fun to make. Of course, I've never made anything like this so I don't really know. Perhaps if I get a book I can try some of it out with yard sale clothes.

Think of it as a 3-d quilt. All it is is piecing, but sometimes you have to gather and sew in circles!

It shouldn't be too hard

looks like pretty simple construction

i'm dating myself but I made tons of prairie skirts when I was a teenager (gathered skirts with ruffles). Super easy.

Heck yeah

My machine in high school was an ancient thrift store machine.

I don't think thaty it should be too hard. Its mostly just layering.
