I wouldn't say it's too soon. Lilli was born on the 23rd and we've already DTD.
Most ladies say it hurts the first time, so be careful and take it slow, but don't worry too much. Thankfully over here we've never had any problems with PP sex. With DS we also DTD around two weeks.

ETA: FFF, I hope your hubby comes home soon. Just remember orgasm helps with stress, and you don't need a man for that!

I want to, and at the same time I'm just not ready. I had no tearing, no episiotomy, and I'm still absolutely terrified. It's a combination of needing to reclaim my body and make it mine again and also a need to feel safe in my body again too. I just don't get it...I had a long labor and easy delivery, but it's still just not clicking.

I am scared also, I had a small tear and no stitches, I am pretty sure it's healed because I can wipe from front to back with no problem....

Those of you that are scared of penetration just yet (man I hope this thread doesn't get locked, there aren't many delicate ways to talk about sex that don't irk me.) You can "do it manually" as my husband and I say. That way you can both be involved, and still have more control than using his... equipment. That way if a particular area is sensitive, just rub that area gentler, or avoid it. Speaking from experience, with DS I was anticipating "it" so much, and a little nervous, the lighter touches were a HUGE turn on. It was incredibly romantic, especially after the amazing event we'd both just been through.

We attempted the other day although I was half asleep and not exactly enthusiastic. I actually wasn't concerned about pain despite a third degree tear and lots of little tears. Everything has been pretty good down there so...

But it didn't last long. About an inch in on the non torn side it felt like he was stabbing me with a knife so that was the end of that.
