Things Not To Say To Pregnant Women - Page 2

You look tired. Oh, well, thanks. You really know how to flatter a gal. Want to tell me I look fat too?

Oh, that's right.

Wow, you're BIG! No kidding. I have another person inside me!

I also love Still pregnant, huh? I actually answered this one with "Nope!" today and got a really confused look. Ask a stupid question....

So when's the baby coming? I'm sorry, do I look like Nostradamus?

I actually got the "so you're still pregnant?" question last week! All I said was "yup, still keeping him on the inside."

The other excellent conversation starter is "When are you due?" I just say "End of May" then they ask, Well which DAY are you due?? As if it makes any difference...
Anyway I tell them "Well since babies don't generally come on their DUE date, and they don't expire like a carton of milk, we're expecting him sometime around the end of May. If it makes you feel any better, I am quitting work in two weeks."

Then the next comment that comes, yes very consistently is..."Are you sure you're that far along??"

I feel like saying "What, do I look this big when I'm NOT pregnant??" lol! I know they mean it as a compliment that I'm so small and it's ALL baby belly, but sometimes it feels like they're calling me fat in general. Oh well.

Yesterday someone commented that I was eating a 2nd donut, were could I put it? I just said "Oh I told the pumpkin to shift over and make room" lol!

Yep, I'm so tired of the "still pregnant?" I just keep reminding everyone (I mean EVERYONE -- family, friends, store cashiers, waiters, etc) that I just hit 40w yesterday and its not uncommon for babies to come up until the 42nd week.
