Sources for good quality fragrance oils

I have access to lots of wonderful quality beeswax candles left over from our church and would like to use them to make my own candles for home use. I have tried scenting them with essential oils but they don't seem to throw out much scent. Does anyone know a good source for good quality frangrance oils? I found some at our local hobby store but the few they had smelled cheap and awful. Anyone ever made their own candles? How much fragrance (or essential) oil do I need to use for good "throw"? Also, what are some essential oils that mix well together?
