How long can you go with the baby so low?

I realize this question is setting myself up for disappointment, but my baby is so low that I am uncomfortable all the time and can barely pee or poop. She is actually making my tailbone hurt by pushing out on it. I remember in A&P that the baby's head pushing on the cervix causes oxytocin to be released, starting the labor cycle, so how long can this go on?

My only answer is..... I don't know. This baby has been so low for a good 2 weeks now, along with bloody mucus 2 weeks ago & prodomal labor for weeks that now seems to have completely stopped... So for me, it means I have a head stuck in my pelvis

I wish I knew! It seems like I read that after the first baby, future ones don't drop/engage UNTIL labor a lot of the time, but then it also seems like subsequent labors happen closer to the EDD than the 1st pregnancy, that usually go over by at least a week even though they have been engaged for a long time!

I'm sorry you're so uncomfortable, so hopefully in your case labor happens SOON!

I wish I knew too. I had tailbone pain weeks ago and this one has been pushing on my cervix for at least a month if not more. Everytime he moves his head, I can feel it and the pain makes me cringe. I was just going to post about that very thing....shouldn't all that pressure of his head right there make me at least dilate?

I think I have a head stuck in my pelvis too....and I really don't think anything will change for me anytime soon.
