http://www.tinybirdsorganics.com/soakers/pattern/ has a soaker pattern that I've already made one of. It turned out really! well. Sadly my girls grew out of it so I have to resize the pattern and make some more. They're not hard to make really, just need the time to do them up!:

Best wishes!

I've only bought a crochet soaker pattern: Dandelion Dreamer's. All my knit soaker patterns have been free ones and they have served me well. I've used the Punk Rock Knitter's Soaker Pattern as well as the Curly Purly Soaker Pattern.

I've heard only rave reviews for Wooly Wonder Perfection Pants and Everlasting Soaker and all of Little Turtle Knits diapering patterns (I have the longies pattern--easy and straightforward so I would suspect her other patterns would be similar).

I've made the LTK Ribby Wrap and really liked it. I also have the pattern for their hybrid soaker but haven't found the time to make it yet.

I love the curly purly soaker pattern. I haven't tried it on a new born yet. My favorite of the ones DS wore when he was brand new is the ottobre pattern. Those are both free patterns.

My first soaker I did was from the Curly Purly pattern, and it was a newborn soaker Don't have a newborn, I just thought I could get it done quicker and not have to worry about if I messed up too much here is how it turned out:

I love curly purly and little turtle knits. The picky pants are my fav.

I also like the fern and faerie custom pattern.

I've been wanting to try the LTK Picky pants for forever, guess I'm going to have to .

I've made a few soakers with the Fern and Faerie customizable pattern and have had good results.
