He's speaking on Thursday October 9th at the "Haus der Demokratie" not far from where I live and work here in Berlin - I'll be going - it's sponsored by the Democrats in Berlin - a group I am very marginally involved and get regular info from. Could I seem really cool and say, "Hey, your good friend so and so says Hi!" then I can drool all over him and tell him how thrilled I am with my truthout subscription - which is partially why you don't hear much from me - but I do read regularly. You are such a great group of parents!!

Gotta go get David in bed! We are reading the Neverending story and I can't wait to find out what happens to Bastian next!

Well, my husband, daughter and I have met Will, and had a beer with him at a party, when in DC protesting about a year ago- stayed in the same hotel in fact. That seems forever ago. He was still teaching back then.

Nowadays, he is a very busy gentleman indeed having left teaching, for success as an author and is now also the managing editor of Truthout. He has earned every bit of success. Amazing what a difference a year can make.

And now you tell me he is coming to Germany???? Wow. I am impressed!

Tell him a former fellow DC protestor from Bartcop says Hi if you like, but I doubt he will remember. (considering how many places he has spoken on his book tour since that time...Lots of people, faces, hands shaken, greetings exchanged, etc.)

I saw Mr. Pitt on CSpan recently. He is a pretty passionate speaker.

I guarantee that you will truly enjoy hearing Will speak.

You know, I thought it may have been you - but I don't trust my memory much anymore. I have no idea if I will get a chance to talk to him or not - or if I'll even want to when the time comes - but nonetheless I'll try to report back as thouroughly as I can - the title of his speech is not so revealing "US Policy in Crisis" - OK - which policy in Crisis? - or all of them? - that could take all night!
