ideas to help DS2's cheeks

DS2 has "excema" t on his cheeks.
some days its ok.
other days his faces is red, inflamed flaky/cracked adna bit scabby. it looks really awfull but he doesnt seem to mind too mich but ates hsi face being washed.
he hates the cream the Dr gave and fights tooth and nail when i try to put it on.

anyway i was thinking that as i have stoped using shop bought baby wipes cos i hate the chemicals in, i am transitioning from shop bought cleaners to eco clearers to home made cleaners (eventualy) and starting to No-Poo i thought that maybe a mixture of Chamomile tea sweet almond oil and an EO would help. as his face was inbetween stages and i didnt want to scare him off i just used chamomile tea and Almond oil to sooth and add a bit of moisterising to his face. im thinking of using this mixture 2 times a day when his face is OK and more is needed if his face flares up or when he gets dirty, i dont want to use soap at all, maybe a little plain water.

What EO could i add to it if any to help a bit more, today his face seems fine. its not as red, and he let me wash his face with the mixture with out fighting (a first)

I've heard rooibos tea is good for eczema. Actually, one of my favorite teas is a rooibos/chamomile mix, so you might want to try both on like a cool compress.

Also, maybe try Burts Bee's resq ointment. It really helped when I had a flare up of some kind of allergy all over my face. (I had been traveling, sleeping on a down bed, and working in a warehouse for 16 hour days, so who knows what it could have been.)

This is not an organic solution but I had to share. Ds had the same issue and I tried as many all natural, organic salves, ointments, creams I could get my hands on (Badger, Dr. Hauschka, Weleda, Erba viva, plain oils, oatmeal baths, etc, etc.) Elimination diet didn't help either. I ended up getting a prescription from his ped and was in the store to fill it when I saw Aveeno Excema Care cream. I thought it was worth a try and surely gentler than the prescription stuff. Ds excema was clear in 48 hours!!! I use it when he gets a little redness and dry looking and it never gets bad and weepy. His cheeks are now baby smooth! But I like the tea compress idea above......
