Yay my cousin got her ultrasound and found out her baby is a little girl. She had told my brother and I that if it was a little girl we could have all her boy clothes. My brother took everything 18 month and older and I took everything 12 month and under. I have three big black trash bags full!! so hundreds of dollars worth. I washed all the 0-3, NB, and premie yesterday and it was two washers stuffed full... I feel so much better about the clothing situation. we werent really bad off But It must have been kinda bothering me cause I feel so much more relaxed now. But holy cow I dont even know if he will wear all of it. course depends on how messy he is lol. but I can go into labor now I have everything.

Woo hoo! I had a similar experience -- we got a huge stash of tiny clothes, so many that we had to leave most in boxes in storage. It was a big relief to wash the best ones and put them all in the drawer, and I was just like you-- didn't realize I was stressing over lack of clothes but felt so good once we got them, so I must have been.

(now, if my mom would just QUIT ASKING if we needed any 0-3 month clothes... ugh. I tell her every time she calls that we have more than we'll use, but she will not listen... it's driving me crazy.)

yes family can be very helpful and then they can be a pain too. I am so lucky that my mom is extremely supportive of a natural birth and my MIL too.

Awesome!!! Isn't that the handiest?!?! My cousin had a baby girl a few months before me and she's pretty much clothed my DD since birth!! Especially since her DD is so much bigger than mine, so the stuff often lasts me for over a year!

When my friend moved to Vegas, she gave me probably 8 boxes of clothes from NB to 6x. My DH's co-worker also wanted to give me all her daughter's stuff, but I had to turn her down... I have no more room!

Wonderful! I cannot imagine life without hand-me-downs. I have three friends who have essentially outfitted DS's wardrobe from birth on ... we are so lucky.

I have one friend who outright refuses to accept hand-me-downs, "I don't wear used clothign and I certainly don't expect my children to." Nice.

We got a lot of hand-me-downs from a friend and it was such a relief to know that my baby has clothes. Plus, I'm excited that he'll be able to wear his onesie and baby legs through most of the spring/summer.
