Is this normal postpartum bleeding?

With my first baby I had bright red bleeding for about two weeks and then it slowly started turning a rustier color. I had lochia for a little over a month I think. With this one ( which was another C-section) I am still having red bleeding at 9 days PP. It had actually tapered off a little bit so that I wasn't seeing any blood on the pad, just when I wiped. Well last night it picked back up again and now when I went to the bathroom I felt a lot come out pretty fast. Is it normal for the bleeding to wax and wane? At what point should I be worried. Most of the info I read says that you should only have bright red bleeding for about 4 days and then it should turn pink, but that has not been the case at all.

You know, I cannot remember at all. I know I bled a little longer than was normal, but looking back it's b/c my iron stores were low.

I know it's normal to have heavier bleeding if you've overexerted yourself. Is that possible?

I'd call your midwife or doctor just to be sure though. Hugs.

I remember mine coming back red after a a bit as well. Also a C.

I'm sorry I have no idea. I find myself worrying and wondering "is this normal" nearly every day since I had her.

I remember with my last pregnancy things kind of picking up at one week PP. It didn't last for too long (just a day), but things had really slowed, and then in the middle of the night while breastfeeding, it seemed like I was bleeding quite a bit. By the next day, though, things were back to normal. I never called to get things checked out, but just kept my eye on it.

Sounds normal to me, you probably have been over doing it a bit. It is natures way of telling you to slow down and rest a bit.

I'm having the same thing with red bleeding coming and going (c-section too) and I'm 3+ weeks postpartum. I really don't think I can be overdoing it, though, since I don't really do anything except sit around with baby all day. Is this bad?
