Cheap way to make patio chair cushions?

I'd like some seat covers or cushions for our plastic patio chairs but they're SO expensive. Anybody have any good and cheap ideas for making my own?

I bought a vinyl tablecloth at WM & plan to use it to make outdoor cushions. I got a huge one for $3.

I bought seat pads and sale fabric from IKEA. I drew round the seat pads to get the pattern for the covers and just added long ties.

Since they were not waterproof we had to bring them in each day and they ended up being used on our dinning chairs instead.

Foam is half off next weekend at JoAnn's, as is homedec fabric. I drew a pattern, cut out the foam, and made covers for it. Took me a few days working after the kids went to bed.
