We'll find out, b/c DH wants to. I hate u/s so maybe I can convince him not to, but I am sooo curious too! It is not an easy decision.

I go back and forth every day, i want to know to plan. but we didn't find out with Lilah and i loved it. but right now the official decision is not to find out, but i am still debating internally.

well I am advised to have the ultrasound to make sure the cervix is behaving itself, and to check the cord and such. DS#2 was very tangled in his cord, not around his neck but his legs and caused some development issues. so, since they will be checking things out anyway, and DH really wants to know, we will try and find out, I think I may tell him, if he wants to know he has to go to that appointment, but we will have to see.

i definitely want to wait for a birth surprise. we didn't want to know with the twins, but at the "big" u/s the tech spent so much time looking at their genitals that it was obvious that at least one was a boy. and then my brilliant mw made a comment that let us know they were both the same gender. so we ended up finding out for sure at the next u/s just to be sure, since we were 99% they were boys anyway. haven't decided if i want an u/s at all this time.

Wouldn't dream of EVER finding out the sex. Even if for some reason we had to have an ultrasound. I never quite understand why so many people choose to spoil one of the only true surprises left for adulthood!

The feeling of the surprise is overwhelming and wonderful. It really is an added bonus at the end of it all.

I personally consider it a surprise at the u/s, it's just a surprise a little earlier. If they are able to tell at the u/s, I want to know. Birth is a magical experience whether you wait to find out or not.

not finding out. dh doesn't want to and i think it's going to motivate me in labor. i LOVE finding out stuff, very curious person, so i'm hoping that it'll help push me through the wall when i hit it. give me something to focus on.

My husband wants to know really badly. We will compromise by finding out the gender with this child, and then being surprised with the next.
