I'm looking to get into wet plate photography and am trying to figure some stuff out. I'd love to talk to someone on the off chance that someone else does this.

Hi, I think this might be something interesting for my wife, as she also loves her passion of photography so thought this might be a help in her cause. Firstly I guess I need to know the place from where I can get the equipment for making this wet plate photography and then need to figure out the details too. Lack of time does not allow me to do searches etc. it would be so nice if someone explains me the details about how things can be done.

I took a wet plate workshop a few years ago, and have a lot of references for places to find supplies. A lot of the chemicals are so toxic that you need to be a chemist to get the proper permits, if you want to fix w/ cyanide. But you can find a lot of the equipment, like camera's and lenses on ebay! I never made the effort to set up on my own, mainly because of expenses.
Ooo, check out John Coffer, he has wet plate and tin type workshops. He doesn't have electric and the workshop participants live in teepees. He kinda got people back into wet plate. He has a manual that you can order too.
