What scents are calming to men?

I get some very angry visitors in my office and I would like to put a diffuser or candle with a calming scent to see if it helps. For my own house, I use lavender but was wondering if there were another scent/blend that works on men better.

I've read that pumpkin pie has a very relaxing effect on men.

Vetiver- it's an essential oil. It's very masculine and earthy.

Yep certainly is, though it is profoundly relaxing, to the point of sedative! I wouldn´t want that anywhere I had to be on the ball.

How about woody scents, Sandalwood perhaps? Very calming, though clarifying too.....might help if some of that aggression is down to stressful circumstances or confusion.

My DH melts with a mix of Eucalyptus and Spearmint. I use it in almond oil for massage or in the bath, or use a few drops in water to diffuse. Very calming, yet not "frou-frou".

I heard vanilla was good for that.

vetiver. woody scents. vanilla...but real vanilla not cupcake smell. mint.

oddly, dp is crazy about my newest candle...peaches and fresh berries. so, something light and sweeter but not flowery might be good too.
