cold remedies?

I feel like fried hell. I have a sore throat (less sore today), congestion, runny nose, and I'm tired and queasy. I just switched health insurance so I don' have a GP yet, but they'd tell me to rest and drink water anyway since I'm pregnant. I stayed home from work yesterday and rested, had ginger tea and grapefruit juice and lots of water and tried to eat and blew my nose all day. I can't take another day of that! I still feel pretty crappy this morning but I need to go to work for at least a half day.

I have my first appointment with my midwife tomorrow, so she may also be able to help. And I don't have a fever. Well last night my temp was 99.8 so I probably did have a little fever but I did all I could to cool myself down and this morning I think it worked. Any other ideas about what I can do to try to get myself better before this gets worse?

Here's a link to some natural cold/flu remedies, although I'm not sure about the safety of any of them during pregnancy. I'm pretty sure garlic, Vitamin C, low doses of echinacea and white tea are safe:

And here's some essential oil blends for steaming and rubbing on your throat:

Feel better!
