Have you ever borrowed a book from a library and

it is missing pages but it doesn't look like the pages have been ripped out. There's pages that are also out of sequence. It's not really that big of a deal since it's a Joke book divided by categories. I'm lucky that my local libary has a interlibrary loan so there's other copies of the same book that I can check out from other libraries.

Sounds like the book was misprinted. I worked at a bookstore for years and people would return books for things like this from time to time. Once someone was reading along in their book when it suddenly changed into a different book! I would let the library know so the book can be replaced.

What PMolly said. That actually happens a lot where the book has just been printed incorrectly. I've seen all sorts of weird stuff-- upside down pages, skipped pages, misaligned pages, defective spines, text missing in random places, etc. I'd definitely let the library know so that they can get a new copy.

When I was a kid, we had a copy of Heaven Can Wait (I know, cheesy from the 70's) and when you got about half way through it, it was the second half of a differnet book. I can't remember now what the other book was, but I thought it was the coolest thing back then!
