What is your "nursing word"? - Page 3

My sister started using the term "CCs" with her DS some time before his 2nd birthday. My DD picked up on that immediately - I think she was around 9-10 months old - and that's what they have been ever since in both households. I knew she picked it up when she was crying for her CCs as she was strapped into her car seat.

We call it milk.

We've always called it milky or milkies, Henri used to make the milk sign and even though he's weaned he'll still make the milk sign and bury his face in my chest when he's nervous.

DD called it "nuk" until she was almost two, then she started calling it "little bits.'

DS#! called it "tea."

DS#2 called it "yaya" (which led to a lot of jokes from friends about the Rolling Stones' album, "Get Your Yayas Out")

My DS1 invented his own word for it.. "Choos" is what it sounds like.

"Nuurrrs" over and over and more drawn out until I do and, if that doesn't work fast enough, then she'll tell me "sit" and pull down on my hand until I sit down and nurse her. DD is 19mos and rather verbal. She compliments me now when she's done. "Delicious"

I like "little bits" heehee.

It's always been "mamama" according to Ds. Dp and I call it that or boobies or milkies.

Milkies....but much of the time it was "mo," which I guess comes from "more." He would do the "milk" sign for me as well, which ended up being just a fist in a salute-like fashion much of the time.

I speak French with DS, so in keeping with the French babyspeak habit of repetitive syllables, we refer to it as 'lait-lait' ('milk-milk'.)

We say "nursies."

I always called it "boobie" and then at 5 months DD stopped nursing looked at me and said "boo-ba", from then on that is what we called it. She actually has only said "boo-ba" 3 more times since then(and she is 12 months now).

We do the sign for milk as well.

First it was "owies" - this is how she pronounced "other" when she wanted to switch sides. Then it was "nummies". Now it's "Can I have nummies and owies, please?" - (One side is named owie and the other is named nummy).
